As the new owner for Dusseldorf Buzzards, I'd like to say hello.

A quick update for all. The Buzzards between their last scrimmage
game and today have released every player but one. I currently
have $94k and have a debt of $178K. I don't even have enough CPU
players to field a team .....other than that things are great!
(I have no idea what went down on the old team.)

Optimistically I figure I should be able to fight for last place!!
If I get some cash relief from Bort I have several players lined-up to
try and get at least a team on the field. So the team will be around
but obviously barring a miracle, we won't be competitive this season.

I suggest you find some good GM's and a recruiter to dedicate some time to help you.
Its goin to be a tough season

Yeah I am going to have to agree with Reich on this one, running recruiting, o-cord, d-cord, and ST cord is going to make you not want to own a team very long. Good Luck though

Actually, we have the people to GM the team, the problem is getting a team with zero cash, zero players and zero loan ability, which support has not replied to us on yet and until they do something, this team is dead.

IF we get the support and some help on the finances, we can make a team to play, but it will tka e abit to build a good team.

With out support doing something, Grey Fox deserves his flex points back and a new team, because a start up team from scratch, is far better off than this pile of dung he got left by the previous owner and GM staff.

When i originally posetd he had no gm's.
Why cant you take a loan out? Support should help with the $, ive seen them do it several times., too bad it might be to late. It will take time to build a good team, and it doesnt help your in a tough league. Recruit your asses off all season, and look towards next season.

I can't get a loan because there is an unpaid loan with $178k still outstanding.
So you can't get a new loan. Effectively putting the the team 82k in the red
(96k current cash, minus 178K). So can't build, can't hire, and I don't have but
a 20th level DT and a 4th level TE (mine pulled off a D-league) for players on the
roster. All others are CPU with the highest being 10th level and not even enough of
them to fill out the starting line-up let alone any back-ups. Would any of you
come to this team in a league where the average team is 23 - 26th level?

This kind of thing really screws it up for new owners like GreyFox.

Hopefully this can get sorted out and his team given a proper shot at working within this league

Thats just wrong, if a team is sold its loan should be thrown out automatic.
Tough situation. Wish you guys luck

Oh man, that sucks. I hope I speak on behalf of everyone in wishing you luck with it and I for one think you should be given at least some cash and a clean slate on the loan front along with some high level CPU's to mean that you have half a chance in your first season.

The only positive seems to be that your stadium has been added to by the previous owner so you should get some reasonable ticket income coming through today/tomorrow.

Have you asked the mods for more cash? - I think they are usually willing to consider circumstances like yours - from what little I know of the process I don't think anyone looks at the gutted and abandoned teams before they get distributed - I'm sure the idea is that you have about $1m cash and no debt at least to start - I don't think anyone in the league benefits when a competitor is at such a disadvantage that there's no way for them to properly field a team

I would also drop your season ticket discount to 0% so that you are getting as much cash as possible from ticket sales.

Yeah I would send Bort and the boys a little heads up that the system is badly flawed. Everyone pretty much understands you wont win the Championship your first year, but you have to be able to compete. We missed the playoffs the first year, damn near went to the CG last year. I would let them know something is up

Took awhile and oh a long ugly forum mess, but finally got some help.
Bort cleared my debt and kicked me some money. Then last night they
put some CPU players on the team. Still bringing a few players in.
Don't know how competitive I'll be this year, but we will hopefully
continue to improve throughout the year.

Oh and we are now the ROTTERDAM RHINOS
