I'll release these as they come, I left it up to my guys to do them if they wanted, so it's uncertain how many of these we'll actually have.
They'll be of varied length and topics as well.

Erin Andrews: Nate Manley how do you like your new team?
Nate Manley: I am almost giddy to run behind this oline.

Andrews: What is the best thing about your move?
Manley: I can get a fresh start, being an owner was alot of responsibility and took a little away from the fun of the game. I feel rejuvenated as a player with this great team.

Andrews: Is there anything you want to tell anyone out there?
Manley: Getcha popcorn ready!!!

Chris Berman: So Scrabble Asomugha, how do you like your new team?
Srabble Asomugha: I love it. Much better than the last place where the owner lied to me and was behind worse players on the team (still bitter he is)

CB: What are your expectations this season?
SA: I want to get back to the MVP type season I had the 2 season before last. Also, all you did last year was talk about Antonio "Counting" Cromartie, I think it's about time that changes.

CB: Oh really, so what types of numbers are you going to be putting up then?
SA: Well I am looking for a career high in interceptions and passes defended this season, so 10+ interceptions and 55+ passes defended.

CB: I think that type of season would make me forget about Cromartie. What are the expectations for the team? Can you win a championship?
SA: I am expecting some home field advantage in the playoffs. And as long as we make the playoffs, which we should easy, we can win it all. Once you get there, anyone can do it,

CB: Thanks for your time Scrabble, and I am looking forward to all of the highlights you are telling me about this season!
SA: Hopefully you won't have to wait long for the highlights. Thanks for having me!!

I'm sure he's a solid HB... but giddy?

He sounds like he's more suited to be joining a Fred-ex and D3 hotel rendezvous

A few snippets of the Pam Oliver(ESPN), Bootney Fonzworth(Iowa Fortress) interview.

PO: Hi Bootney, that's an odd name. is there a story behind it?
BF: Hey Pam, you really have some nice soup coolers on you girl! My real name is Beauford Rodney Francisco Fonzworth. My boyz call me Bootney because i like the girls with the big ole booties, LOL

PO: Thank you i think. Well, it seems with your LvL your punting skillz are improving with age, what do you attribute that to?
BF: Well i try, seriously, i drink at least 1 beer a day and 2 on game day.

PO: With League Champs Darfur Tyrants and 2nd place Comoros Crocodiles gone. Do think the Fortress has a chance to win the Chip?
BF: I like our chances Pam. There are still some quality teams we'll have to deal with, but if we take each game one at a time, We'll be in the Chip.

PO: Do you wanna guarantee that?
BF: LOL, ain't nothing guaranteed Pam but death. But what the hell, i'll say we're the team to beat, guaranteed.

PO: You have any personal goals?
BF: Yeah, to get as much money outta GB as i can, LOL

PO: What do you attribute your team's past success to?
BF: Well, it starts at the top with our owner GBPackFD25 and then you have to give credit to our very knowledgeable GMs and coordinators bruiser 1234, j10er, Voltan, Quadry, ashain04!. We have a group of players that will die for each other on the field.

PO: So the season is looking bright for the Fortress and your getting better with age. I must say, "you look marvelous!" if you don't mine me saying. Bootney, i wish you and Fortress good luck this season and maybe you and me can go half on a baby?
BF: Thank you Pam, aww i sorry, i already have 12 kids. Got my ball snipped a couple of years ago. But i'll run up in you just for fun if you wrap them soup cooolers of yours around my......LOL

Hope you guys aren't getting annoyed by this yet, but I made a committment to myself to do at least one thing to help lessen the burden off D3 this season and give you guys some reading material.

Here's another one from TE Flexico Lee

Jim Rome had a chance to interview new Iowa starting TE Flexico Lee recently..

JR: Welcome to the jungle Flexico, it's good to have ya!

Flexico: Thanks Romey, it's good to be here.

JR: Let's get right down to it, because everyone in Iowa is buzzing about your arrival, how did this move come about?

Flexico: Well Jim, I played out my contract with my former team, the Odessa Turtles. I gotta give props to them Jim, they are a superstar studded team, and I guarantee you they'll win their league this next season. It wasn't about money, about titles, about any of that, it's about a community my agent approached me about that is one of the most active communities you can find, with the right mix of football knowledge, enthusiasm, and drama.
Within that community my agent represents a few players on Iowa, and approached me about making a transition to a team that's revamping an already powerful offense. How could I pass this opportunity up? To me there's much more glory in performing at a high level and helping a team win with a history like Iowa has over the past 3 years, than playing for a powerhouse team that before the season begins can be picked to run away with the league.

JR: You talk about Iowa revamping its offense, and you yourself have been rumored to be revamping your playing style after a slow season last year, talk about that for a moment.

Flexico: You're right Jim. I had a really slow season last year, and I know exactly what critics have said about me. My philosophy is to avoid the trash talk and show my progress on the field. I'm a humble guy, and I'll stay that way. I will say though that I have a good feeling about this being a breakout season for me.

JR: Where do you personally see Iowa fitting into the scheme of things this season in the Elephant Conference of Africa AA3?

Flexico: Well Jim, the secret is out about Iowa. Hard work and preparation have paid off for this team, and it's high time to get in there and compete. There's no more surprises to this team, that was for last season. What you see now going into this season is what you get from Iowa. We know what we want, and that's a 10+ win season with a playoff victory. We also consider ourselves in the hunt for hosting a playoff game this season.

JR: You're new to Iowa obviously, and you haven't even seen playing time in a Fortress jersey yet, but what's one thing you love about the team so far?

Flexico: Progress. The coaching staff is full of individuals with like minds all aiming for the same purpose (This is a shout out to all my hard working GMs, and even players). Iowa makes progress, maybe not groundbreaking in terms of taking an offseason and spending absurd amounts of money to buy your way into the title, but player development with the occasional upgrade where needed. Iowa may or may not be a long term Elephant Conference AA3'er, this remains to be seen. What I do know is that we will be in a position to compete amongst the top echelon of our conference season after season. It keeps things fresh and exciting to be a returning player to the team, that's for sure.

JR: Well Flexico, it sounds like you guys sure have things heading in the right direction in Iowa, I wish you the best of luck this upcoming season!

Flexico: Thanks Jim, and one more thing... Ohio State still sucks! I'm out.

Local Reporter recently got a chance to ask Iowa Strong Safety Jason Nickewitz a few questions..

Reporter: Jason, you guys are off to a 2-0 start against 2 of the top 8 teams in the conference. You've had 2 very tight games, what can you attribute the victories and the low scores to?

Jason: Well, our offense brought in a lot more new faces than our defense did, and the 2 preseason games we had weren't quite enough to fully understand how our offense needs to work in the new guys, and we aren't fully aware of everyones' capabilities in a Fortress jersey yet. We do have a scrimmage match against an organization with strong ties to Iowa coming up much later today, and the key to learning our newfound capabilities is getting more games like that in.

Reporter: Counting your preseason games, you've given up under 20 points in 3 out of your 4 games. Talk to me a little about this.

Jason: Well, without giving out any secrets, we adjusted the way we trained our bodies in the offseason, and our Def. Coordinator has much more knowledge about the workings of a defense thanks to numerous 2-3am research sessions. He's losing sleep at night, but it's paying off. Will we hold Buenos Aires to under 20 points later today? I really doubt that, because they'll be a pro team by next season...but they aren't from Africa, so we'll just overlook that game =P

Reporter: In season 3, it was pass deflections and tackles, in season 4, it was forced fumbles and tackles, and so far this season you've matched your career season-high INT total in only 2 games. What is it about you that allows such flexibility in the way you can threaten an opposing offense.

Jason: I'm the best Strong Safety there is, period. When I'm not leading the league in forced fumbles, or picking off passes, I'm making plays like this...
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=161869&pbp_id=1784638
I can do it all, and there aren't many SS's who can claim that..they're either one or the other, and I'm all baby... I'm all and I'm it.

New look, same great style for Jason Nickewitz, Clutch Driver, Flexico Lee if anyone cares. Avatar changing is a rare thing for me, but I may get more into it..who knows.

Rumor has it from sources close to the Iowa organization that another press conference and/or player interview is just over the horizon...
