We are looking to build the best Steeler fan based organizations on GLB. We want to take the average GLB'er to the next level of Steeler greatness in this MMORPG. We are reaching out welcoming fellow Steeler fans to be part of this great organization. In our organization exists 3 teams, the Pittsburgh Steel, which is our main franchise. The Shanghai Steelers is one of our farm teams, which we will label as our second tier team. And the Pittsburgh Stillers, which is another farm team that we are slow building players.

Each team in our organization are as follows:
Pittsburgh Steel:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1523

Position of need are....
C - level 27+
OT - level 27+
3 WR's - level 27+
DT - level 26+
DE - level 26+
LB - level 26+
2 CB's - level 26+
SS - level 26+
FS - level 26+

Starting or depth could be available depending on builds.

Shanghai Steelers:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=3118

All positions needed, starting and back-up. This is our brand new farm team. Some of our players on Steel will be sent down to Shanghai. We would like to try to keep players level 20+ on this team, or at least really close. This way we can be competitive while building/farming.

Pittsburgh Stillers:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=4722

This is our slow build team. We would like to keep this for new players to players under level 16. We have the following positions open to be filled:
C, G, OT, WR, 2 DE's, DT, 2 CB's and SS.
We would also like to utilize training to help maximize builds, so the slow build process is preferred, but not a necessity. Once we catch up, each team should be very competitive, if not start winning as long as player are committed and on the same page.

Each of these teams will also be taking applications for the following positions. If you're applying for one of the following positions, please be as detailed as possible on what you know. Give references of experience, and share a few of your ideas and/or game planning strengths and/or weaknesses.

What we are looking for:
- players
All levels, all positions. Starting positions, depth positions, you name it, we have an opening. Which franchise you start off with will be determined by level and build.

- offensive coordinators
We're looking for an offensive genius. Someone who can run an effective passing offense, someone who knows how to run the ball and control the clock. Someone with experience and a track record of success on GLB. Also, someone with experience of building the playbook for the offensive AI would be handy as well.

- defensive coordinators
We're looking for someone who plan out a defense to totally shut down opposing offenses. Someone who can game plan and assign tactics for player and set tactics to stop whatever kind of offense we're facing. Someone who has experience with the defensive AI. Also, someone with experience of using the 3-4 defense, an effective high blitz percentage defense, someone who knows the in and outs of football. Being a good mathematician is a plus too.

- game scouts
We're looking for someone who will go the extra step beyond copying down the greasemonkey scouting script. Someone who will actually take time and watch game and take notes on the game while watching. Someone with a good football sense is big here. This way both you and the coordinator can cooperate and get everything ironed out at least 24 hours before game time. This way game plans and tactics can be posted in the forum and no one is falling behind or not having time to get their players ready.

- recruiters
Pretty much self explanatory. But what I'm looking for most is someone who can read someones character. Also even more importantly, someone who can build a good build on players of all types. It may even be best to have multiple recruiters and assign each recruiter specific positions. Also, you could help each other out in recruiting too. I've noticed even when team members talk each other up in a recruiting thread, the recruit tends to read it as the team having good communication and sees that they will work together. This is a job that can be very grueling and time consuming to land some of the best players. But in the long run, sometimes this can be the most important job there is. Without recruits, we have to stay in house, which can also be good, but at the same time, these agents have to be top notch at all aspects.

- finance
Someone who has experience in managing a teams bank account. This includes but not limited to, contract salaries, signing bonuses, stadium construction, concession pricing, and most importantly, making a profit.

- video crew
Someone who can make recruitment and highlight videos to upload on YouTube.

- journalist
Someone who can be our organizations official journalist as well. Someone who wouldn't mind submitting write-ups on our organization weekly to post on our teams website. Right now, the website is going to get a complete overhaul and is currently being worked on.

The story of the Pittsburgh Steel

When we first came into this game, GLB, we came in with the idea to build an organization entirely made up of nothing but Steelers fans. I first got word of GLB by one of my friends on myspace, ThePittsburghTag. We got some of the Steelers fans from there that we knew and came in for season 2 when they released the USA BBB teams. We did some work recruiting and creating players, and at the start of season 2, we were the clear cut favorites to win BBB#8.

Here's a look at the first game Steel was in existence:

If you take a look over the players, you will notice every single player on the team bares a Steeler name.

Coming up on our 3rd game of existence, we got Donged (our owners account was hacked into, his players retired, all players on the team released, and the team sold back to GLB). For about a week, we started losing hope on getting our team back together. But after a little over a week, we finally received a reply from Bort stating what happened and he worked with us to get everything back together as close as possible. The first season was looking to be basically a waste. Player on the team signed with other teams so they wouldn't lose experience, some even decided not to come back because they didn't want to go through what they just recently went through. It took about another week just to get half of our original team back. With half of our team back, we went on a 6 game winning streak without giving up a single touchdown for the remainder of the season to barely sneak into the playoffs at the number 7 seed. We pulled an upset win over the number 2 seed, and then lost a 1 point game due to a 50+ yard FG and giving up a safety on a punt that was downed on the goal line after no attempt to return the ball by the punt returner.

Season 3 comes, and we start getting back some of our remaining players who we originally started with. Just to get our players back, we had to pay max cash for each and every player, cash we really didn't have to blow. But we had to do what we had to do to get our team back in order.

The quest for greatness begins....

The Steel marched through season 3 posting a 14-2 regular season record. The Steel's defense boasted the leagues best defense only allowing 60 points all season. Steel also had the number 1 rushing offense as well, putting up over 4000 yards on the ground. Talk about Steeler football, we duplicated it. Steel went on to win the conference championship, only to lose a hard fought championship game 13-9 to the same team they beat in week 16, 22-6. Thus giving Steel it's first advancement, promoting to USA A#4.

Season 4 rolled in and things were looking tough for Steel again. Players who we were counting on in key positions turned out to be non-boosters. This really put a damper on what we could do with our passing game. As a result, we had to muscle our way through USA A#1 and show them what real Steeler football is all about. After coming out in week 1 beating the leagues other champions from the other BBB league 13-0, we realized this is gonna be a challenge, but a promotion was definitely within reach. In our third game of the season, it became evident that with our lack of receiving talent we were going to have to show our hand the rest of the way and play to our strength, which is our running game. Steel posted a 13-3 regular season record and marched it's way through the playoffs. Here we stand with the league championship game coming up looking for our first league championship. For the second season in a row, we're playing the same team we played in week 16's inter-conference match-up. Only this time, we were on the losing end in regular season due to a huge mistake by myself and screwing with the depth chart the night before, and forgetting to change it back. So the one thing we have going is we didn't show our hand to our opponents for the championship game. Hopefully if things turn out how we expect them to, the Pittsburgh Steel will be your USA A#4 champions.
