What type of coverage are the defense using here:

At first I thought it was just a cover 3, but I've never seen it with all the LBs and SS lining up on the WRs and TE and playing a man coverage, whilst the CBs and FS stay deep.

Cover 3 Man Under. Cover 3 has the FS and CB deep, since it is Man Under, the game assigns other available players (the linebackers and SS) to the man coverage. If nickel or dime had been in, the extra CBs would have been on the WR.

And that was actually pretty good coverage. They even deflected the pass, but the WR caught it anyhow.

No coverage on the HB - even though no guy was blitzing.

No man coverage, perhaps, but you don't run Cover 3 to shut down the flats, you run Cover 3 because you're worried about the long game. I'll grant you 3rd and 4 doesn't seem the best time to call it, but there were plenty of guys in position to stop that HB if they did chuck it his way ... albeit not before the marker.

Coverage is broken. The LB is meant to pick up the HB, not try and run downfield with a receiver. Of course if you're going to play cover 3 then you better have 1-2 extra corners on the field!

If the LB has similar stats to CBs, I don't see why I would care. Remember, most LBs were built before this season when strength and tackling were important. Last season almost anyone would tell you the prime attributes for LB were speed, agility and maybe vision. The prime attributes for CBs are vision, speed and agility. The LBs even can take the Swat Ball SA.
