I've dropped my FB run % at the global level down to 2% and still somehow managed to give the FB 25% of the carries (10 out of 40 carries total).

My question is, if i have advanced offense set with all runs, set as "run(random)", what does this point to? I thought that it would base it off my global run % settings to each position, but I guess not.

This is the 3rd game this has happened. I initially started at 10%, then went to 5%, now 2%. Each game with similar results, with FB garnering a much higher % of carries.

I searched around for a thread about this, but didn't see anything, so I apologize if this has been brought up already. But has anyone else seen this or am I misunderstanding how the "run(random)" works?

i think run(random) only covers where the runs goes, like outside/inside. maybe see if the outputs all have primary rusher set as the HB. maybe something is amiss in outputs

Well, that's the thing. The outputs are left to "basic settings", so that in theory, the global settings for who got the carries could be changed game to game in one change, rather than having to go through all my inputs and change strictly to FB or HB.

I posted this out on the bug forum as well, but no one has responded their either, which is surprising, as surely I'm not the only one that's noticed this?

yea just try on your run plays on the outputs making the rusher as the HB

I know I can get around this issue by forcing my RB to get the ball. However, I don't think the intent of the advanced option was meant for this. If I have 10 inputs, each with a run output. That means if I wanted 2% FB runs overall, I would have to enter 98/2 HB/FB outputs for all of these inputs. I don't think that was the intent of the system.

If there is an advanced run that ALWAYS uses FB, then that's cool too, I just need to know that, because nothing like that has been said before. But it seems that ALL inside runs (or maybe they are FB dive plays??), use FBs...and when I choose run(random), it's just dumb luck that it chooses that particular play.

Either way, I think something isn't working right with the run basic settings as it's been explained in the "manuals". So I'm just looking for clarification.
