Alright, in the past few games, our backup HB has had quite a few more carries than our starter. I've tweaked energy settings to sub out more frequently, to leave the starter in longer, I've tried anything to do with energy settings, but I just can't seem to bring the starters carries up. They, unfortunately, are getting pretty similar stats in terms of play count, but why on earth is the backup getting all the carries?

Also, it seems as if the backup on the DC is getting the starting position. During the play by play, our backup (Dayton Devil Dogs) is in on the first offensive play, every drive.

Is your starter on special teams?

Yeah, we just found that out. He keeps getting put on KOS, even though we keep removing him and replacing him. We'll try it one last time, and if that doesn't work, I'm lost.

yeah my team uses 4 HBs but the scheduled first string goes on KR so he sits out for a few plays before coming back in that may happen to you

When you move the starter off of KR do you just have one other player set on the depth chart? If so and he is below your sub in/out level the cpu probably just picks who should go there and it winds up your top back. Try putting 2 players at the return spot.

He's on KOS last I saw, not KR/PR, he keeps getting placed on the depth chart, and not just a "CPU Sub In" type deal, as with KR/PR or any 1 player position. Not sure why, but we continually have to MANUALLY remove him from that depth chart.

This is going to sound really silly but are you pressing 'auto-reorder' instead of 'update.' I have seen this happen before.

another thing to remember is, they might get equal snaps..but the AI has a tendancy to throw on the first down and run on the second...so if you back up came on for second down he would be getting more carries.

Check their snaps...if their snaps are equal then this is probably why the back-up gets more carries.

You can always force starters 3rd down...that should increase his carries

You might want to tweak the ST energy settings. Often the default settings mean lots of the special teams starters don't have enough energy, and the sim picks a random fresh guy off your roster. It shouldn't be moving around your roster though.

In any case if you don't already, you should put your KOS and KRS advanced energy at something like 5/10, so it will force starters.

The other thing is if your backup has considerably better stamina, he will start hogging more carries.

i am having a very similar problem in that all 3 of my backs are getting about the same amount of reps. I have the energy settings set to 70/76, so by the time the 2nd string is down to 70 the starter should be beyond 76 to relieve him but he hardly gets any snaps in the 2nd half. The only time is when we are in Goal line but that is because of the 3rd TE position which we dont have so it throws our only FB as the 3rd TE and our starting RB becomes the FB.

By The Way: i double checked our starter (Big Truck) does not play special teams, i double checked that. Our backup RB's however do.
