I know this has been discussed before, but I just had a thought pop into my head. Say your opponent loves to run pitches and sweeps all day, but you use the Advanced D AI. If you set the basic inside/outside to 30/70, then will you concentrate more on the outside when outputs are set to "Use Basic Settings" rather than "Center - No Shift"? At the moment I have most of mine set to No Shift except for some Strong/Weak Blitzes, but if resorting to the basic settings effect it then I may have to make some changes.

Yes. Shifting the LBers doesn't denote where your gonna defend. Shifting the LBers to say the strong side and ifyour basic 70 outside run defense proced from your output then you would just be in a better position to defend a strong side pitch or sweep. If you had the shift on and the play went to the weakside then you would be in a bad position to make the play but your defense was still for the outside run. If the run went inside then you would be in a bad position based on the outside run defense making the inside run more effective against you. Since we can't choose sides to run it is a safe bet to defend strong side though.

Yeah I know but if we choose "Use Basic Settings", will the LB's start further outside then if we choose "Center - No Shift"?

No, they will be aligned center unless you do pick a shift.

So then there is no difference at all between Center and Basic? Thanks again I would just like to clear this up.
