Wondering if anyone has tried this? While they may not have the fastest speed, the offset to break tackles and get a few extra yards seems like it might work. Just wondering if anyone else has experimented with this.

Tried it in a scrimmage, it didn't work well for us. Though this collision was pretty sweet.

We've started using an ellusive RB, got tired of seeing everyone else fumble.

Has worked well so far, had a 45 yard return last game.

Too bad you don't have a FA WR you could see it all day...our forum has a "Hottest Avatar" thread...and mine is losing!

Anyway - use an ellusive HB.

I used my power back to return some kicks last season, and he did okay, but not spectacular.

Unagile offensive linesmen on kickoff return = epic fail for blocking.

Check out the Guadalcanal Gunners. They've got a PB with 3 KR TDs

I am using a FB to return kicks and punts. His punt average is 9th in the league, which isn't great, but his kick return average is 36 and he has returned two kicks for TD this season. One was an opening kick off against a rival team, and I think the morale swing won us the game. I only used the FB because I was tired of fumbles. I further reasoned that if my returners are just going to run into the pack, I may as well get a returner who can break a tackle every now and then.

It tends to work because on kickoffs, the defenders stay in their pursuit lanes this season. I have collected some broken tackles that way with my FB. No TDs yet however. With punts, you would expect it to be more difficult because the formations don't allow much spread on the rush.

Tell us how it works when you're playing a team that you don't completely outlevel by 8 or so up and down the roster!
