does anybody know what types of plays are involved in goal line? like does it contain in itself like 60% inside runs and 40% short/med passes or anything like that?

i want to know before i throw it into the mix

Not totally sure, but I think it's 100% inside runs. Yes, it sucks, and we should be able to do other things from that formation. Eventually we will be able to, I hope.

Good question. I was wondering the same thing.

Why would you want to change your offense that got you to the goal line?

red zone offense can be completely different. say my offense passes a lot. then in the red zone, there isn't as much room to throw, as the defenders don't have to cover as much ground. Thats usually when you pump the running game up, especially on inside runs. also, i assume the goal line plays have a FB and TE if not 2 TEs, to help block, instead of say a spread offense.

not that this changes anybody's AI, but there can be a big difference

I know what a goal line offense is about. my point is if the offense you used to drive 70 to 80 yards to get that close to the goal line was good enough to get thre why stop using it to try and score? It isn't like the defense wasn't trying to stop you the whole way there. Yes there is less ground to cover and less space to defend but my philosophy would be to use what got me there. If your strengths on offense can get you inside the red zone it can get you in.

The Goal -line Offense I've seen run so far has lined up three TE positions accross the LOS with the backup FB filling in one of those. Its then always been a running play with either the FB or HB.

You answered your own question. Having only 15 yards of field in front of you makes a HUGE difference.

Depends on your philosophy.

From what I've seen, goal line offense at the goal line only works well when your O-Line can beat their D-Line. If you're O-Line is overmatched, you're better off doing a regular formation so you can sneak in another way.

My question is whether there is a pass option out of the goalline formation? In the output window for the new O AI, you can choose a primary receiver. If I set the preferred runner to none, and chose a primary receiver, is it possible to trigger a pass play out of the goalline formation?

No, the sim will always run from the goalline formation. Choosing a primary receiver has no impact and not choosing a preferred runner will just send it back to your defaults.

My offense is set to run the goal line offense inside the three and I have verified it through the AI tester. I can't explain this play except that single back big might be part of a goal line package of plays take a look
