I want to state that you forgot to mention STAMINA, without stamina your player won't get as much playing time = less xp = less lvl = less amount of points to your skills. Stamina also affects how well you perform through the entire game.

I'm posting this because your thread has nothing about stamina which in my opinion is the most vital skill for beginners.

lol

the thread in my forum mentions it with CAPS

;p

passing QB needs strength....unless all he's going to throw are 3 yard dump passes.

vision might be a secondary skill for WR's im not sure i haven't personally had one but that seems to be the case.

Good SS stats (and yes, these are my guys as well )

IMO, a good SS/FS isn't really hard to build, you just need to know what advanced tactics to set.
And just so you know, I won't give out the exact attribute numbers, but I can give a range if you want.

All DB need some jumping to use swat ball effectively, and it gives you a diving tackle bonus as well.

I disagree with the ROLB statement that skills aren't important...monster hit, diving tackle, swat ball and shed block are all vital skills. Strength is a secondary skill if you ask me as well, since you need it to shed off the lead blocker on run plays. Just my opinion.

Monster hit is not vital for any position. Shed block and Diving tackle are fairly important, and swat ball is decent for any coverage player.

Wished I would have known that earlier. Wasted some SP on that - dang. I wanted to build a Sean Taylor.

Currently:
15<Strength<20
25<speed<30
20<agility<25
10<jumping<15
20<vision<25
15<tackling<20

Right now, speed, but working on tackling/vision/jumping a bit more.

To be honest I don't think any build is an "IWIN" build, simply because the balance is that there is a counter for every skill available. And just as Bort mentioned in another thread, I doubt i'd see anyone just focus on one or two skills because you are going to need a few to be competitive once all the leveling slows down and teams set in.

Use your own judgement and adjust the stats to where you want your player to be whether it is 20% speed back and 80% power back. Or even 20% scrambler and 80% pocket passer. There are very few one dimensional atheletes in the NFL that are elite players. There is no one "mold", you got to at least have a little of it all ( skills for your position).

But these are GREAT starting ideas I suppose for people looking for maybe a niche to follow, but I wouldn't swear by them.
