My advice to 99%of the OC's and DC's who are truly wanting to climb the GLB Everest stay at it. If you refine and hone your skills with the goal of learning and getting better each season, good things will come.
The current 'Lombardi' king is Ryan. Please note; it took Ryan a long time to perfect his craft. I remember falling short many a season with OPT in what I believe was the S30's - S70's. We were good, but we could never break through. Sometimes as a #1 seed entering the playoffs, we lost to a team that was geared to thrive in post-season.
Then Ryan stepped away for 5-10 seasons as I recall. When he came back it seemed his skills finally got over the hump. Shortly thereafter, Ryan developed the "Golden Formula". The rest is history!
Ryan paid his dues and endured many a heartbreak getting to the top. After GLB seasonal decades of trail and error, it paid off. Through it all, he is the same great guy. The end difference is he has quantities of seriously epic hardware in his Trophy Case.
Hat's off to you my brother for enduring and persevering. You have reached the Summit and now your challenge is to stay there as long as you have interest.
