As I recall, we get 36 TP's for off-seasons 2-4. They come in a lump sum and cover the entire off-season in one fell swoop.

I can't recall how many TP's we can have sitting during the regular season. Off-season is unlimited I believe, so just wondering how many can I carry into an off-season?

Thank you in advance

From the Mini-FAQ by Bort:

Banked training point cap during the season: 60
Banked training point cap during off/preseason: unlimited

So as long as you don't exceed 60 by day 40, you're golden until day 1 of the following season.

Sorry if this a stupid question ... Why would you want to bank TP? What am I missing?

I believe it's so you can accumulate SPs, cap an attribute and then train.

I think the general reason it's in the game, is so that a player can not log in for a few days and come back without losing out on any TPs

But as Keg said, we like to get our attributes to high training %s and wait to roll them over until we hit the next cap.

Thanks, guys.

These are things I'm already doing but was thinking there might have been a reason to not train purposely.

There is. Occasionally, you might be at a spot where, if you kept training, you would train right through a cap before you had enough SP's to cap it 1st. Generally, that's to be avoided. So you can stop and hold while waiting for the next 'level up' to happen... cap... then resume training.

(Edit); Also, when you get real close to day 280, sometimes it's a good idea to pocket remaining TP's until you reach the last day... especially if you trained up some skills to right before they rolled over and then stopped... say with 1 or 2% training remaining to get it to pop? Then you do all final boosts and apply all SP's... THEN you train that last bit and pop the skill up another number. Good to have enough TP's in the pocket for doing that.

Not bad all the time, but you need to pay attention and know when to cut it off if you're looking to really maximize every little % in a build.

Thanks, Theo Wizzago.

I generally sit on full training bars while hoarding SPs to max out caps anyways. Last season, we were up against the those damn Dragons in the POs and just rolled everything over to try to compete -- without the desired effect!

We were folding that team and players anyway ... but ...

100% this. You can use player level and # of BT's to set stops in training before it rolls over. I do this all the time.

Mandy Ross has a guide floating about that's supposed to give you the max number for when to cap a skill. It's pretty good. I don't follow it exactly but my own numbers are in step with what he did and the main idea is solid.

Thank you, sir. I'll have a look for it.

Thanks. I appreciate it.

Looked for Mandy and posts in the past 90 days. No luck.
