Pass happy but not passing only? I'd still say a Run Block arch built right is better than a Pass Block arch built perfect. IMHO.

I think it also depends on what level you want to peak.

If you go Run arch, a lot of DEs will make it look like you suck early on. You have to trust the process. He'll catch up with a dose of Speed which is your 4th attribute or later.

If you go Pass arch, you'll (presumably) get into Blocking and Agility sooner which will help make up for the Speed difference, with extra blocking radius and maneuverability.

Pass blocking really isn't difficult for any O-line at the highest levels. QBs are so we'll built they can get rid of the ball pretty quick. Defenses add a blitzing DB of some kind to bring pressure.

If you go Run arch you'll be able to handle pass blocking, and have extra pushing power in the run game... Eventually.

Fwiw... I'm a fan of Pass block C's though. But that's a whole other topic.

The "META" is 160 str / 97 blk / 90 agi / 80 spd at OT in all circumstance. I disagree on this being best, but that is what the Meta will tell you.

I've been splitting EQUIP to +10 AGI on OT's for a long while, even on run block arche's. Unless you're a HEAVY power run team, it works just fine for run blocking. Don't be afraid to have 145 strength on an OT, it will be just fine.

So I'd prefer something like 145 str / 97 blk / 105 agi / 80 (or even 85) spd at OT. This split can be attainable with with run block arch (pump strength first) or pass block arche (pump agility first) depending on how you split equipment. I firmly believe my team's OT's not being "full strength" is a big part of why I am able to pass at a higher tick vs WL competition since it does lead to less pressure and pressure = picks.

End of the day, I do think Protect is arguably the best o-line SA, and getting this as FAVORED is helpful. I recommend 10+ protect on LT's regardless of archetype, but favored is better then penalty of course.
