So I'm not a good coordinator by any means but due to a weird situation out of my control I'm fully coordinating a rookie team with no experience. (The actual owner just stopped logging in)

I made custom defensive plays that went through some of the basic formations and made a slight modification to the play based on if there was a Receiving TE or a Blocking TE and tagged the plays in the DAI as such. When we played 2 scrims today I checked the replay and noticed that we only called the same "Safety Net" play I made the entire game for when no other plays should have been called, but they did have a Receiving or Blocking TE in.

I assume I'm missing a step somewhere but I am unsure where. I notice on my GM privilege's I don't have Scouting X'ed off. Was I supposed to be able to go into some scouting page and actually tag opposing players or is there another step I completely missed?

go to the other teams page, click "scout team" at the top... you can tag rosters there and also use a basic scouting tool for offense and defense

also, i believe its on the tactics page.. there is an ai tester

If you can use the Tactics calendar to set tactics for forthcoming games...And when you tag an opponent make sure you put the right tag in the AI.... If you need any help PM me and I will help guide you though it. Best advice is to keep tagging simple at least until you get used to it

I attached an image of what I see when I go to an opposing teams scouting page. I see all their stats but no tagging options. I've used the offensive and defensive scouting tools and those have been helpful so far. I'm keeping my system relatively simple so far and just trying to differentiate between blocking and receiving TEs And a couple of plays for a scrambler QB.

Could the problem be that l don't have scouting privileges for this team? I have access to everything else except that.

It sounds like I'm outta luck then. The actual owner hasn't logged in in over a week and from what I've heard, he has no intention of coming back. I'll just have to adjust the playbook without any tags and hope for the best unless an admin could intervene.

Wait another week then message support see if they will transfer the ownership of the team over to you since the owner isn't logging on anymore. Usually takes around 2 weeks of the owner not logging in for support to do anything.
They might not even transfer the ownership but it is worth a try

This. Also, check with other coaches on the team. Perhaps they have access. I've had to 'take over' for two teams doing what Bluesman has posted about. 14 days absent (hasn't logged in) is needed before any consideration. Let DD know it's hopefully temporary until regular owner returns. They're actually pretty good about making the transfer.
