The "retirement team" concept is gaining momentum! Elysium Immortals of RPL#3 Eastern Conference has a full starting lineup of 480+ day dots and more dots committed to join next season already. Agent Livestrong has purchased another team in RPL#3 Eastern Conference and renamed it Abyss Lords. This will be another retirement team, and we'll be helping each other build out "old dot" rosters. May take a few seasons, but we hope to ultimately have a couple "retirement vs. retirement" team games each season. May the best old dots win! Who knows, maybe the concept will catch on and others will start teams and ultimately RPL#3 will become a "retirement league" instead of a "CPU league"!? Would be interesting to see what GLBs best OCs/DCs/STCs/tacticians/coaches/gurus could do in a league like this. Like Rookie League but you don't have to restart the roster every season.
Ok, first thing's first, fill out a couple rosters. But, fun or flop, finally something new to try out in GLB after all these years!? The ultimate goal is to field retirement teams with only 600+ day (full decline) dots to "even the playing field", but all 480+ dots will be considered at this point as we know most people retire their old dots before 600.
If you have any dots you may want to add now or in future seasons, let me know, and spread the word! WHo know's...maybe some World League teams would be interested in keeping their squads together into retirement and beyond to continue racking up trophies and stats and glory?
...or maybe this is the dumbest idea yet and/or breaks GLB. Either way, could be fun!?
