Unless I see the actual quote I'm going to have to agree to disagree.
1 equip point is = to 1 point with SPs
a WR with 150 natural speed no equipment will perform as one with 100 natural speed and +50 from equipment

the only difference is natural will add to the "player value" calculation

I've never heard anyone say it differently.

I recall a script for dot speed. I never used it, but were lots of threads from agents confused by an inconsistent result in regards to attributes and equipment. Although as I said before, there is more to such things than just the obvious, ie. agility and stamina when looking at dot speed. Amounts other wr on the team same time as the one I posted were two with speed low 140, they often left cb in the dust. I of course don’t know the builds of said defenders, but it seems doubtful there were a lot of very slow cbs in pro and wl back at that time of the game.

Let’s look at this from another angle. I’ve a guard Build from the same team and season I’ll paste following the story on why and result. See if this sells you. First go with a passing team I found out, pass blocking archetype suck at run blocking. We were horrible at converting short yards and GL. So on reset, I took advantage of the GL formations own depth chart. Build a full o line of run blockers as STOP. Strength is 101, no equipment. What do you suppose he was facing on the D line back in the games heydays, 140+? Yet these guys were very successful. Now that’s nothing like empirical evidence, but it sure begs the question.

Season 40-42 are the only potential Pro+ leagues available for this dot.

I wonder what Guppy would think of this dot as a ST dot

His G is very different to what my G's were at that time. Mine where pulling and it was fun to look back on those plays

Ah yes, the speed script....

Yes there were agents saying how come my 160 speed WR is getting blown out by this 150 speed WR, but they failed to mention they had 73 agility LOL

Season 30 through 41 I think was his span. It of course played all special teams and GL formation to block for the power back.

Success for the dot in my opinion was a first down or TD if that was the situation. For the team, a huge upgrade in success rate in short yard situations. It was also part of very good special teams, didn’t hurt Zerotolerance built some awesome returners.
