anyone think it's worth having deflect ball % when you're making an INT dot with the tactic that says "go for the INT even if you might get beat"?

I keep grabbing 1 piece of DB% but is it really worth it?

I usually do my DB% with my CEQ on my INT dots to give me the 12%...but that's just me.

Do you remember which roll comes first? If the Deflect roll comes after the INT roll then I think it's worth it because you've already failed the INT roll so now you have the chance to help the defense by deflecting the pass.

If the Deflect roll is first you could make the argument you would not want the gear because you dont want to pass up a chance at intercepting by deflecting first...

but I think the deflect roll is after int roll

Not sure, but I always get it too.

These are my top 2 INT dots

https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4711554
21% INT chance
15% DB

https://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4711549
21% DB%
15% INT chance

Builds are otherwise very similar

An INT is an INT and a PD is a PD, no?

yes but the competition is a joke. picking off poorly built dots/matching up with poorly built dots isnt useful.

i play both. casual pro is as ugly as pro

OK if you say so.

That doesn't change the analysis as to whether or not DB% is useful on an INT dot. Carry on.

- I have to see the ball is coming in the first place (vision check)
- I have to get into position near enough the the ball to interact with it (speed/agility etc)
- I have to check if I am even going to get a chance to interact with the ball (Int check? No? Swat check instead?)
- If I'm near the WR, I have to fight with him to see who gets a chance at the ball (my roll vs his roll)
- If I win, I get to intercept or swat the ball. (depends on first roll type that succeeded, and if the WR gives me trouble catching it)
- If I lose, the receiver gets to try and catch the ball. It's all up to him now, though my being close by makes it harder on him.
- If the receiver fails to catch the ball, I get once more chance to try and intercept it if I am close enough.
- If the receiver catches it, now I've got to tackle him. Here's my chance to knock it loose with a good hit

probably the most relevant part is this

Sub-question: Do the rolls take place simultaneously or is there a progression? In a previous post you said that it goes INT-->Swat/Anti-swat-->Catch-->Knocked Loose (tackle roll), but recent posts by you seem to imply that it's much more complicated than that.

This is what i remember too, but seems to go both ways
So does it try the Int/Swat at the same time, or did he say Int first and then swat second on purpose, because second statement i bolded makes it seem like it does both rolls at the same time.

Being able to see QB/WR builds on both levels, I disagree w/ this statement. the DEPTH of good dots is obviously better at WL than Cas Pro, but Half of Cas Pro has dots that would be comparable to WL, they are just built by agents that prefer to play in cas pro instead.

I agree.

From top to bottom, the competition is better than any natty pro league, based off the fact that there are NO CPU teams.
