I was actually at the UW Platteville Football game and when they announced the final in the stadium, the entire crowd (including myself) was in disbelief.

Final? It’s a good thing I don’t understand of what you and Madrocker are talking about

I guess I should have said final score.

Talking about University of Illinois' upset of the Wisconsin Badgers in college football on Saturday. There seems to be a handful of Wisconsin peeps here, so as the long suffering guy from Chicago who has been embarrassed by U of Illinois sports for many years, I had to take some opportunity to enjoy the rare moment.

They have a good chance at making the finals...but no ones beating whoever comes out of the West...Sorry.

I'm as surprised as everyone else. I know you don't know this, but I'll come clean and admit I thought no one would beat the Astros(series isn't over). I took the Braves in the NL fyi

I get what you're saying though.

Week one and we only had two close games and as your resident Hall of Famer I don't have much to say on the week. I suspect we'll have a few more this week but don't hold your breath. Gag felt they needed a mini helmet to compete with NFJF. Otherwise, a ho-hum start to the season. I'm watching the World Series so not a lot of F's about the week two write-up.

GAME OF THE WEEK
San Dimas Sains 42
Chile Chupacabras 32

Chile led 17-7 in the fourth before the offensive fireworks started (only 21 of the 74 points scored in the first half and a total of four rushing TD's over 50+ yards). The Saints rallied in the second half as they outscored Chile 35-18 to clain the W. Great game by both teams to kick the season off.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
San Dimas Saint QB Eric McCormick - The QB led the Saints in rushing with 153 yards at a 10.2 ypc clip. The dot scored both his TD's in the second half when the Saints needed the points (21.5 and 69.5 yards, respectively).

WEEKLY PICKS

Running Gag @ San Dimas Saints - San Dimas hasn't had much success against Running and I don't think anything changes from last season as Gag shuts them down and hangs over a half a hundred on them...59-14.

LG Canucks @ Not Fast, Just Furious - Both teams come limping into this one and one of them needs a boost of confidence. LG hasn't played well against them in the past but this one will be close coming down to the wire...34-31.

Ethiopian Camel Snackers @ Chile Chupacabras - Chile looked solid in their loss as the O was humming but as ECS showed they can run as well. ECS will run away with this one and abuse the Chupacabras D...45-20.

Magua's Revenge @ Las Vegas Chaos - The Chaos looked sharp and a 4th quarter meltdown cost them an upset over the Spiders. Well, they get another contender but this time Magua's will end the hope of the upset early...38-17.

Burma Black Dragons @ Tenerife Crusaders - NOOBS NOOBS NOOBS...both failed to put up a point in the opening weekend so take the under in this one. I'll bust out the "ole coin flip" on this one and ---- the Crusaders will come out on top...6-3

Sofia Spiders @ Charlestown Chiefs The Spiders got the W but they just didn't seem to have "it." Boozy kicked off his campaign with five picks and I have a suspicion the Chiefs are going to make this a pickfest and run away with things...38-17.

POWER THREE Enough of the power five. Teams have to work to crack the top three.
1. Ethiopian Camel Snackers - Already have them pegged as the top team after one game (I'm so easily swayed).
2. Running Gag - Made short work over NFJF but the decline will catch them later in the season (it's early baby).
3. Charlestown Chiefs - Blanked the noobs (we'll see how they look against the Spiders in W2)

$$$$$ 25-9 ATS on the season in college.
1. TAKE TEXAS and the -1 (against TCU).
2. TAKE ND and the 1 (against Michigan).
3. UNT/Char under 64.
4. Navy/Tulane under 57.5.

Laptop batter low - eat a bean burrito!!!

This screams bad line. Texas should be -6 and the line makes no sense to me. I almost gotta go contrarian with TCU because TX is such an obvious pick. 80% of the bets are on TX, and the line hasn't moved. Something stinks
