Nothing has changed in the Sim.

What has changed is WGs level of cares...

So basically, what you're going to want to do is buy $25 worth of flex to cover your 3 free dots. If you want more dots, just do another account and buy $25 more in flex for that account. If you don't have a metric ass ton of flex, don't buy one on any single account, and don't pay for boosts, just the Custom EQ.

Actually building dots is still the same slog through a year and a half of your life, so to break it up, you'll want to start new dots every season or 2.

As far as team ownership goes, there's only trained professionals left. Of course there's also whoever is dumb enough to blow the flex trying to make their own team, just to be fodder for the pros. There's only haves and have nots.

If you get really bored and still feel the need to hang around, you can always just create one dot and find a new and interesting way to game the system, like this guy

Or this team
http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/team.pl?team_id=77

No one will stop you from doing all of the stuff that used to get your account banned. You just have to bribe WG to look the other way with flex purchases.

Good luck, have fun

thanks TJ, flex isn't a problem i have over $100ish-worth in my account at today's rates from my last stint playing
basically the game is the same, the support is less and the community is smaller... sad about the latter two
i had some successful ownership stints but always with good coordinators to do the actual OC and DC planning
seems like its so dead with every league having SO many CPU teams, wish it wasn't like that... game was so awesome and active back in the day, i was so hooked on it at one point... i just bought a dead rookie casual team for the heck of it

TJ's mostly right but there's fun to be had in places. I hang out with several active agents and owners... but there is a distinct lack of coaches and players (dots) that makes owning a team a BIG challenge just to not only fill a roster but to be competitive with quality from top to bottom. Welcome back though brother. Hope to see you around the leagues!

Welcome back! I remember your QB .Eli. .Manning. and a few other players way back in season 17 on my team California Punk Rockers when we won gold. Good times, good times.

Just remember that it's better to be the new old guy than to be the old new guy... or, like me, the old old guy.

peewee gold has 7 competitive* teams this season. and i think the 2 lower peewee leagues have a few more. with better organization there could have been 5 teams from each conference fighting for 4 playoff spots each.

*competitive varies from the clear best Gamecocks, the 2nd tier with 2-4 other teams and then another few that will beat the cpu teams.

One thing to remember... spending ANY amount of money on Flex will make you a Premium member and will unlock a 4th Free Player Slot. When I came back, I literally spent $1 on Flex, and boom! Premium! Best dollar I've ever spent.

the game really is dead though...
I posted that knowing and almost inviting full scale ridicule for over emphasizing the awesomeness of one play on a useless dot lol

but really he is awesome on this play too

ok need an old-guy-but-noob answer...
i created and put dots on a team before season rollover, and boosted all but 1 of them by accident... I'm screwed with that guy at this point right? he'll always be 3 levels behind?

No, you're not screwed. As long as you do not miss any more boosts before the end then you'll be fine. And yes... he'll always be 3 levels behind but that's not a terrible thing.
There's basically two ways to build a dot... early boosting and not. I think it was done to allow Peewee dots to be able to end the same as non-peewee dots because you can't boost early with Peewee dots... they have to be level 1 (or lower) to start Peewee leagues therefore they cannot boost early. To allow them to finish at the same level as early boosters they had to allow for 'make up boosts' at the end. So you can miss the early boost and still finish at level 79 with the rest.
