My player's CPU team was just bought by a player, so I have 3 days to release the player or I stay on the team. The team is nowhere close to making the playoffs, which is totally fine. My question is: If I get released by my team now, can I be signed/play on a playoff team? Is there a "playoff signing cutoff date"?

Yup. All trades and cuts/pickups go dead after that.

You can cut a player after day 25. Apparently you can cut/release them up until at least Day 31. Perhaps it's because he was on a CPU team that was just purchased?

http://wiki.goallineblitz.com/index.php/Trade_and_Cut_Rules. I dont think I've ever bought a team after day 24, so maybe the rules get relaxed for a few days. he's talking about the 3 day self release option that you always get after your team is bought.

I think as long as you haven’t played a game already in that round, you can.

Is there a minimum time limit before a sim you can play after signing?

usually about an hour before game time. just depends when the sim actually locks the roster/tactics.

One hour is about when we get locked out from doing stuff like adding on to EQ or trying to put in SP's so I would say you're right on about the time... but remember that you not only have to get signed but you have to get put on the roster too and that might also have a 1 hour window.

I've never had trouble with a player playing when signing just before a game starting, and i've done it quite a few times. are you speculating or do you have something to back that claim up?

you get locked out of the depth chart an hour before the game. so you need to be added to that before then.

i consider the game starting an hour before the game time. league time is really when the games are supposed to be finished, not their start time. sorry for the confusion. i've done it at 1:01 many times and then wondering if I made it in time., but always did.

Speculating. I reckoned that GLB put the lockdown on certain things at 1 hour before the actual gametime shown so why not locking the depth chart as well? I'd even go so far as to speculate that the reason is that the time listed for the game sim never seems to be the actual time it happens. Many times it happens a little early... sometimes a lot late.

i thought that you meant an hour BEFORE the roster was locked ie 2 hours before league times.. every thing for the league GENERALLY gets locked an hour before the league time. these are known FACTS. yes, it might be a few minutes later, or much later if there are server problems, but questions are usually answered for the norm, not the exception. thats why I posted the link to wiki so people know where to go for the right answer. speculating does nothing but spread bad info.
