This dot is an example at this level: http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player.pl?player_id=4724255I think you hit the point I was trying to figure out. You linked a 'missed boost' dot (basically... because you purposely did not boost in the preseason of creation instead of how/when the OP is doing it) but the DAY you list is 241. I'm willing to bet (because I have 2 dots almost there now) that the XP for a fully boosting dot stops around day 240 as well. So the
time for either dot, for receiving XP, is pretty much the same. That means the overall effect/difference between maintaining a boosted dot vs one that misses one set of boosts on purpose is as follows;
#1, the -3 boosted dot can train his skills at a
very slightly higher level over the course of time that the dots difference in levels gives him. (3 less boosts means 18 less SP's applied which means lower skill #'s which train at a higher % because of being lower.) Obviously this means a lot more to a dot built such as you linked, Sonic, because he got that advantage for the full length of his career.
#2, withholding a set of boosts (one season) also obviously tweaks the receiving of XP as it adjusts the timing vs levels equation.

That player linked up above is left with 200 XP. So, just a guess but, you either received a total of 200 more XP (giving you your current XP bank #) or it simply timed out differently so that 200 XP remained left over at the end. That extra 200 is worth 1 extra SP at the end, or 6 extra BT's (the worst deal of all) or 6 extra Training Points (the best deal as you not only can train up/cap off a skill but you STILL get 6 BT's at a minimum. 18 BT's if you light train all 3 times.)
So, back to the OP's original question... since his dot in question is already level 41 --- age 109 days... skipping boosts now won't mean much concerning the first (#1) point I make above. The training benefits he'll get will be limited by the lesser amount of time remaining until the dot hits plateau.
Where it will make some kind of difference is in the second point (#2) I make above in that it should change the # of leftover XP he ends with. That is a number I don't know as it would require checking the boosting table, calculating out the changes in levels/days remaining, and adding that all up to see exactly what the # will be when his dot hits day 240-ish.
