Hundreds of accounts bought the $1000 flex package. There was an entire "club" devoted to the accounts that bought 1 million flex. There were thousands of users spending hundreds of dollars.

If they were interested in making more money they could easily. They obviously aren't.

shame they would just let the game die

I'm sure they are- isn't that why they made GLB2 and other games?
At this point they just leave GLB on because existing users will still play and buy flex.
The amount of work it'd take them to make even small changes to GLB at this point
they could just make another game entirely, which is what they apparently did.
I personally have never tried GLB2, for from what I hear it has no ability to make defensive plays
or really set up any game plan suited to the team strengths, which is what i enjoy about GLB the most.
Yes, I agree with you its a shame they will never fix a few small things which could vastly improve it,
in fact i still think a few updates could make it the biggest football sim on the internet again
but obviously they feel its heyday is past and the players who are gonna play already do,
or will- with the game being forever as is, just like we all do.

The only positive about that is no one will ever have to complain again that a sim change
has hurt their tactics or build for a player. We all know what to expect and that it will not change again

As far as fixing the MVP stuff goes
if they can't change the code, couldn't they just have a mod review the outcomes to make sure they are 'right'?
I feel confident there is a way they could manually change outcomes if the code comes up with completely bogus results.
For stuff like this it seems there could be work around which wouldn't involve changing any code at all.
That could work if they had someone take a look at them, but as it is its hard enough to get in contact
with them for vital stuff like team movements so I'd guess that is NGH either, though it could be possible

i thought a big push for GLB2 was the other admins wanting to get away from Perl.

Don't worry, Darncat, you can still tell people to kill themselves in the GLB2 forums. You'll feel right at home over there!

How can watching dots possibly be better than having graphics?

I bet the China could fix GLB1 fast and make it cheaper too. A large part of GLB1 success was because it was a male facebook before there was facebook. Look at facebook now, what me worry about Twitter and Instagram and whatever the next social site will be.Active forums are gone and never coming back. GLB2 was unplayable. Tried it, hated it. Very little new blood joining GLB1. Some old agents sometime come back. Only way to keep it going and get rid of CPU teams is having a going out of business flex sale forever. Buy a complete team of 55 players with 3x boosting for $19.99 a season. Whose in for that! Buy the offense for $10.99 a season or the defense for $10.99 a season. This game has been paid for I bet hundreds of times over. Give it back to the agents at cheap affordable prices to see what happens. At least if it were cheap it'd be easier to live with the unfixed problems.

Time for GLB to go CHEAP or go away.
