If pass blocking it is my belief that speed isn’t important. I had a left tackle pass blocking archetype I think I topped his speed at 55 but got his strength to 100. He did well, although some argued at the time he was too slow for screens. What he did was block closer to the line of scrimmage which keeps the qb from facing the passing penalties from the d line getting close. If I was to do it again, all tackles would have similar speed, guards and center a bit faster.
