Seems like blocking is a "just enough" stat to avoid that happening, and the primary focus should be on strength/winning the battle attributesThanks. This is the kind of info I was seeking.

isn't blocking part of the formula for how far you can reach to make a block?I don't know. GLB gang? I do know I always thought it mattered in both engaging a block and how long you can hold that block. Low Blocking skill would mean (to me at least) that any defender with Break Block (like, every damned one out there) would simply appear as if you never blocked him in the first place as he ripped past you and killed the ball carrier. That's what got me started with all this anyways. I suppose I could break it down a little bit (apologies for crazy).
Dot A.) 170 Strength & 80 Blocking
Dot B.) 150 Strength & 100 Blocking
Dot C.) 130 Strength & 120 Blocking
Dot D.) 110 Strength & 150 Blocking.
All this started when I noticed low strength/high blocking agility Pass Block arches doing a fine job in the running game. None of them had high strength (the 150+ range) but had high blocking and high agility. Now I get the Agility vs Agility matchup in the passing game so no worries there. But that's not an issue in run blocking (or at least not a main issue). And what I got to wondering was does dot A have an advantage over Dot B? Dot C? Even Dot D? I was thinking dot B might be the best build in the end and simply wanted to get takes on that. Thanks everyone.
