Is there a max amount of morale a player can have??

From player salary, team promotions, ect.

I know there's a Bort quote about a bank that goes over 100.

It doesn't make sense for there to be an artificial cap, when there's a limited number of bonuses possible... Which probably means there is one, and it's probably bigger than what is possible to have anyway... Thus is the way of the Bort.

I've seen more than 100 morale but not from game to game if I remember right. Perhaps it's like a temp boost? You can boost morale beyond 100 but before the next game (game after the one you're boosting morale for) it resets back to 100? Just spitballin here.

In wiki it gives an example of having 115 morale and the 15 over 100 is used before it starts to affect your player which makes sense. I just did not know if you could just keep on going say up to 150 morale.

Max morale:
+28 Home: +10 for Half Time Entertainment Show (home game season long) and +8 for Player Appreciation Day, +10 from salary.

+25 Away: +7 Private Jet (away season long #1), +8 Private Suite (away SL#2), +10 from salary.

Not that I'd ever recommend that kind of reckless spending.

It's just a temporary bank / buffer, until you back under 100. Went through a handful of games from last season to verify.

Your game day morale is capped at 100, even if you start at say 115 ... until that erodes completely, positive plays won't bump it at all. Dropping down to 105, and taking a 50+ yd TD to the house, only would bump the handful of dots that were around 98 -> 100.

iirc, morale over 100 doesnt do anything. it's just there to be used as it drops below 100. i could very well be wrong, but that was the impression i got back in the q&A days and have acted accordingly since.

It has been a while since I checked, but I remember 1 user going crazy about morale to start the 2nd half of games.

For instance if you had morale bonuses over 100 (say 120 for discussions sake) to start the game and you end the 1st half with 105 morale. That bonus won't apply to the 2nd half and you will start 2nd half at 100.

I think someone rage quit over this years ago.

Needs to be tested (and the test results made public) on DT *Brick Wall* imo.

From Wiki: For example, if a player's morale reserve increases their pre-game starting morale to 115, then the player will essentially act as if they are at 100 morale until 15 points of morale have been depleted from their player. Once they get to 100 from their morale reserve starting point they will start depleting morale and suffering the morale penalties as normal.

Yeah wiki basically confirms then, it's a buffer, once it's gone - morale works as normal again, both + and - , with a 100 cap.

That must've gotten fixed somewhere along the way, reviewing a few blowout games last season - we did have dots finishing over 100. They had lost a few points off that initial buffer, but they were still well over 100.
