Lets get some OC in here. What would be the one play you would want to add?

Bootleg fake power, pull a guard, roll away and throw

Sprint out and pass

Anyone else like to see a few more plays?

Play action could have been a useful QB fake to complement Pump Fake.

Oh man... I could add almost triple the # they have already without batting an eye. I could also add double the # of formations as well... or triple them. So let's throw away what we absolutely KNOW will never happen. RPO's or any form of 'option' plays. Also any of the many different College plays/formations out there and most of the NFL newer formations (Pistol, 3 back sets, 3 TE sets where you can actually pass to the TE's [including getting Goalline passes to TE's], ect, ect, ect...)... all of these changes are absolutely never going to happen. They couldn't even add it into the Deuce. While that doesn't leave much one thing they could add without all that much hassle is simple 'Play Action' added into some of the plays that already exist. If you really wanted to open up the passing game a bit more, add that in and maybe we'd see some receivers actually getting open now and then instead of what they have now where, at the snap of the ball, the defense automatically knows it's a run or a pass... except for screens... which is why I don't understand why Play Action was never considered as part of the game.

In lieu of that, about the only thing I could think of is better passing play selections. There's a severe lack of quality wheel routes (there's some, but not many) and too many of the passing plays that do exist are not very viable in this game format... especially those where 99% of the receivers are all about 5 yards away from each other for most of their routes. (Talking to you WR1 & WR3 running side by side down the field with one yard of separation. )

I'd redo the whole "play" system.

Step 1 - choose personnel package
http://insidethepylon.com/film-study/film-study-nfl/offense-film-study-nfl/2014/09/08/understanding-football-offensive-personnel-packages/

Step 2 - assign slots to personnel from existing spaces, trips right, TE on-line or off, HB /FB in a i, weak, strong, or pro slot or whatever

Step 3 - choose QB alignment under center, pistol, shot gun

Step 4 - choose pass or run

Step 5 - (if run) choose a gap and blocking options, leads pulls etc..

Step 5 - (if pass) assign a numbered route to each target from the list of routes
https://www.thephinsider.com/2016/6/20/11975890/football-101-wide-receiver-route-tree

===

There's too many plays that "suck" and a few that are "good" . This system would allow for many more options, and if a play sucked it would be your own fault.

Hell, if you're going to dream, dream big.

If that happened, if like to be able to assign specific defenders to specific offense dots.

Like if WR x is on the field, I'd want CB a assigned to cover him wherever he went. TE y comes in? I'd counter with LB c.

I agree with you both but can we please add motion and true blocking assignments. pulling guards that can kick out a DE and allow the FB to actually get to the second lvl.

Motion is one of those NGTH things and I kinda understand why. If you send an Offensive dot in motion then a corresponding Defensive dot needs to follow or you have a mismatch of dots vs coverage dots and no DC will stand for that. That's a lot of coding either way so... NGTH. Hell, we can't even get Twist/Stunts on defense for the same reasons. The game is basically 'formation static start' then 'individual dots actions based on instructions and/or input'. No movement before snaps... and mostly reactionary effects after. It's why many OC's don't use (all of the) the counter plays available. Many of them confuse the blockers more than they do the defense.

Now... pulling guards do exist but... the problem lies in the lower levels. Agents build dots based on ALG's and advancing the Primary Skill as much as possible early in the builds. SooOOOoo... your speedy HB's and RQB's and RFB's are WAY faster than your Guards... so they can't get out to the blocks in time. You'll see this with some BFB builds as well that pound strength early. The ball is snapped... the hand off made... the EHB takes off... the BFB is sitting there as if his shoes are tied together. Once the builds are more close to finished, this goes away and Guards do get out to block just fine (if built right for that). And BFB's lead through the holes as planned.

First of all...I know this is a dream...NGTH

That being said. Bootlegs, roll outs could have really developed the dual QB idea.

The problem with pulling guards are that they are expected to pull outside and then turn upfield and run again. WR,HB, and FB can barely do this. pull the left guard and let him kick out the RDE and let the FB go to the Mike LB like normal football

Pulling only works because DTs are pre-scripted to be mindless. If they'd shadow or pursue then the pulling advantage would go away.

If you blitz a fast LB through the hole the pulling Guard leaves, havoc usually ensues.

Yeah, it does...
You know, I should take this into account when calling the plays for defense

You’re in reg pro #3 with lvl 79s. You can literally just run basic glb AIs.
