People can keep saying the Steelers are done. The 2 biggest distractions (Bell and Brown) are now gone. Ben can stop forcing shit to Brown to placate Brown's ego. Our receiving core, while not as eye popping as they were with Brown, is still good (top it off with the fact that the Steelers have been great at developing WRs lately). Remember they won the last 2 super bowls without a talent like Brown. Conner showed last season he's quite capable of taking over where Bell left off. Outside of Bell's superior catching, Conner made the Steelers realize they didn't need Bell to be successful.

I'm not saying they're going to the Super Bowl or winning it. All I am saying is they're not going to suck as bad as people think without Bell and Brown. Saw this somewhere, not sure how true it is but, since Brown has become a starter, the Steelers are 5-2 without him. Since Bell has become a starter, the Steelers are 20-10-1 without him. Since both have become a starter, the Steelers are 3-0 without them both. They still have one of the best O-lines in the game. Ben is still good. So the offense, while they won't be as good without them, will be fine. Issue to me lies with the defense.

Browns though scare me, on paper. Their defense is good and added Sheldon Richardson and Oliver Vernon to that D-line. Baker seems to be the answer at QB. Adding Hunt and OBJ definitely helps them a lot. However, winning in the off season is totally different than winning in the regular season. Only time will tell how well they all mesh together.

Ravens helped themselves by bringing in Thomas, but ultimately that is really the only notable addition they have. They lost Weddle, Suggs and Mosley. Thomas more than makes up for the loss of Weddle, but who's replacing Suggs and Mosley? They added Mark Ingram to the back field, but the running game wasn't an issue.

Bengals without Lewis may be a threat, but they may end up being the Bungles still. but the only addition they made as B.W. Webb (CB)

This season, teams will figure out Jackson and the Baltimore D is no more.

The Steelers are in shambles, and Tomlin is a candidate to be gone by mid season, if he lasts that long.

Red Dalton and a new coaching staff doesn't seem to be a recipe for success, plus the Bengals are the Bengals. Mediocre don't cut it in the AFC. There's easily 5 teams that can win 10+ games.

SD. KC. NE. Indy. Texans. Then there's a few true wild cards. Jacksonville with Foles? Titans? Buffalo/Denver if they fix the o-line line?

Miami is a circus. Jets are a couple seasons out at best with a new staff an scheme changes. Who the F knows what the Raiders will do.

You've only got 3 or 4 teams with no legit shot at the post season.

^this entirely.
I will be frankly shocked if the Browns don't make the play-offs this season
However, with Brady and Rivers in the AFC, Superbowl is not very likely for a young team
In any event the Browns look set up well, not to just make the play-offs for the fist time in 17 years,
but to be also a Superbowl favorite once Brady retires

The only thing i'd say about the damn steelers
they have turned guys nobody ever heard of into superstars before
I wouldn't declare them dead yet, by any means, unfortunately
that said, I'm not expecting next season to be any better than 2018 was for them
(fingers crossed)

It's weird how much Gettleman hates the Giants.

They will draft Haskins, and NY will forget about OBJ- local boy will be their savior.
That will get them through a couple rebuilding seasons with a lot of losses with the fans still on board
while they build a team around their shiny new, magic-armed (and totally immobile) franchise QB.
It makes sense trading for the best pass blocking G in football if you are drafting Haskins
since we know the only thing he can't do is move. I couldn't figure out what the Giants were doing TBH at first
but you think about it, it couldn't be more obvious. Now they just better make sure they get him in the draft

They're not dead, just a dumpster fire. Talented team, one of the best o-lines in football. Can Tomlin change the culture of that team? My money is on 'no'... Instead of winning 10+ games like they should every year, they'll be struggling to make the playoffs, and then some team that wants it more will take it.

As a Browns fan, this is the most excited I’ve ever been about them. I really want to think that we’ll at least win the division. It’s really hard for to believe that they will do it though, they’ve never won a division title in my lifetime. If they somehow manage to screw this season up, it may be the end for me lol

Not a Steelers hater but a serious question. Do they still have the same OC as they did last year? If so, they're not going to be a contender. I actually like the head coach but I know that OC and he's very erratic and a bit of a cancer to teams for some reason. There's a reason he's been on, like, 5+ different teams in the last 7+ years or so? Wasn't he OC at Denver? And HC at, KC? Or was it OC at KC? I just know he's been bounced about a lot and his teams always seem to have issues.

I could be completely stoned, but I think you're thinking of Todd Haley. Fitchner was the QB coach for the Steelers who got promoted to OC when Haley was let go. Haley went to the Browns and couldn't get along with Jackson so they were both let go last season.

They have the same OC as last season, but it's not who you're thinking of in Haley. He was let go after the 2017-2018 season. TJ is correct, it's Fitchner now.

Ah. Yes. Haley was on my mind. Didn't know he was replaced last year. New OC needs some seasoning. Last year was whack.

No arguing that one.
