Yet to see 90+ agility on a pHB in this thread.

Ended up 17 Fum on 538 carries. Running into the teeth of the D that many times a game adds up. That was despite being a hair over 105 Car & 5 Cover Up. Repeated Monster Hits just saps the energy/morale too much, and makes them vulnerable late when you're trying to put the game away.)

Too much funneling the ball through that one player?

tough to get 100+ strength, 95+ carry (+VA's to go over 100), 90 (+55 eq) speed and still go 90 agility - which of the other 3 do you cut back on?

That's why I mentioned it. Is getting Juke worth cutting back on a pHB's build?

Even if you do hit those numbers mentioned, you still need to get stamina, confidence, SA's, jumping (if hurdling) and some vision. Adding an extra into that mix is tough.

agreed

I don't bother with the top tree for a PHB

Hey, since the “rate my dot” forum went out of style years ago, what are yalls thoughts on this pHB? It’s the first one I ever built and I’m not really sure how I feel about him, especially because he’s kind of mired on a depth chart with 3 other HBs.

YOM, imo:

carrying is too low. i would 100% switch agi and carrying.
i also love hurdle. would much rather jump go to 60 and vis drop to 40
i also like 2 BT% pieces.

Yeah, had a feeling I got the agi / carry backward. My mentality on vis was feeling the need to see holes open, see defenders, etc.

Thanks for the tips. Hurdle will be added if I do another

So i guess maybe a better question is:
does anyone find it worthwhile to invest into Stiff Arm?
I'm actually wondering now if its worth for my QB to push it to 5
as i'd planned or should i just put those SP into something else?

Also, the RB in question is a FB, and Stiff Arm is the additional SA
so it'd be a question of swapping it out entirely for Juke. His Spin works pretty well
and he's got Quick Feet and 8 Quick Cut (and i remember bort said QC helps juke)
so it seems like going by what ppl are saying that'd make some sense, unless
Stiff Arm at a high level is good... does anyone have any examples of that?

Absolutely. Take it to 9 if you have a traditional Spinner QB, and you're going to do the BT% AEQ to support it. Spin has a "cool down" so you need a backup.

FBs only get PT to start. If you have Spin also, that's your back up. If you need another thing, Hurdle is probably your best bet. Hurdle would use the BT% gear you already have, and be supported by QF VA, like Spin. If you can't push much Jumping, then Juke would be an OK alternative, imo, because of QF.

I don't think he will have more than like 25 jump, otherwise that would be a good option
how much jumping does it take to make Hurdle effective anyhow? Are we talking 50-60 or 80-90?

i've had this debate with another guy who loves making very similar pHBs to me. the only big difference is he says 40-48 jumping is fine and i'll always go to 60.

you definitely do not need more than 60. it fires quite often.

I don't know why you try....He doesn't take anyone's advice. He knows everything about this game
