Does look off count as a fake? increasing the chances of it happening with a fake % eq?

Good question, I have no idea but would like to know.

I found something way back in the QB forum that Bort said pump fake is part of the fake%eq but nothing about look off...

I think he also said Pump Fake works on Man to Man and Look Off for Zone

Pump Fake works on both m2m and zone, Look Off only against zone
due to this it'd seem PF is better, plus it seems to fire more- though maybe
that is only because everyone has it. I guess LO could be useful if you already have PF...

I don't want to say for sure if its a fake (seems it should be) because I can't find anything about it either,
I thought it was, but I'm in no way sure and if i recall it was one of the last additional SAs added so that's
probably why its hard to find anything about it.

I'm gonna go with Yes. Here's why. Yes... it's supposed to work on Defenders in Zone coverage. It's not worded well but it would be rather stupid if it worked against only Zone archetypes no matter what type of coverage, if any, they were set to. It even doubles up on this by mentioning how it gives Zone Defenses Trouble. That's important to the answer because the whole concept of 'Fake' is an attack on a defender's 'Vision' and it's ability to make a quick and strong judgement on a play... to make a decision based on what it sees. All 'fakes' are attacks on Vision and so, even though it doesn't say 'Fake' in the SA's title or description, it's still an attack on 'Vision' and therefore, anything that negates the effect of that attack should work against it. Avoid Fake should work against Look Off.
Therefore... that means that anything that HELPS to strengthen, or cause to happen, a 'Fake' should also work as well. At least as far as QB's go.

It definitely does the whole 'fake' function thing. The question is when they put it in,
did they remember this and include it in the skills fake% pertains to?
I recall bort saying yes but its so long ago i can't trust that is correct

Please dont listen to anything this keyboard warrior has to say about a game he admitted to knowing nothing about. Just trying to help rather than give false info

Has anyone ever paired Look off with fake% eq on their QB build just to see and if so noticed any difference? Maybe build a pump fake/look off paired with fake% eq just to see what happens? thanks for the thoughts and opinions. I think its funny that the game owners/builders that created GLB and never fully explained every option. It has added a mystery element to some aspects of the game and left room for discussion.

Not me. Most of my AEQ goes into PQ% and Pass Distance.

its funny, interesting, and sometimes super-maddening. Luckily we have each other to share what we know
and try to figure out the rest lol. Unfortunately my QB (who does have fake% EQ) just couldn't afford another
additional SA after Juke and Spin and all her other EQ is used on PQ% and BT%. I'm going to look again
to see if i can't confirm fake% works for Look Off SA. It SHOULD, but the only question is if it actually IS
because they haven't been making fixes to the game for some time. I'd personally bet they got it right-
but its far easier to bet w/ your player than mine lol, so i'm gonna try to find it again.

Also don't listen to the hater. I wouldn't say for sure if i wasn't sure. I always ask everything myself-
the only problem is sometimes i don't know which questions to ask until its too late lol! Regardless,
I know for a fact that Pump Fake can work on any player in coverage, Look Off only for zone coverage.
If i recall, it seemed to fire a lot (against zone) when i had it ion the first QB i made, but that was eras ago.
Personally, I've noticed (unscientifically) Pump Fake also doesn't seem to fire as crazy often as it did.
Possibly that is because everyone tends to go w/ AF% AeQ and SV SA or just have 90+ vision these days

Don't do it! Sorry to say, it apparently does NOT:

http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/faq.pl?cat=Player%20Equipment#186

that seems kinda bunk to me; it'd make sense and be cool if it were considered a fake.
according to this however, it is NOT

So that would mean AF% shouldn't work for Look Off either? So confusing...

I think there should be a Look Out Va for QB's as well. This VA would allow a QB to bend over completely double and kiss his own ass goodbye after the OT yells 'Look Out!' when he lets the DE blow past him and head for the QB. Would protect against fumbles, of course.
