Forum > Suggestions > this game needs to give incentives for building offensive linemen

it used to be easy to put together mutt teams because there were always so many unsigned players. Now, it's almost impossible to build a team from scratch because no one builds spare offensive linemen. Without a human o-line, you cannot have any success in this game as a team. I don't know what the right incentive would be, but something needs to be done to entice more offensive linemen to be built. Or make the CPU ones better.

And we're back the the need for Instant dots again. GLB2 has them. Kinda says something about what management thinks about this game, IMO.

We can go ask DD about it. He's in the other thread, making jokes about quarters.

Kinda. Unlike here, if you don't get a dot made before the season starts then you can build one anytime and instantly boost and build it up to the proper level of experience. Dots there don't really do the 'day' thing. There's 4 levels of growth and you go up a level of growth at the end of a season until you hit plateau (Pro level) that lasts for 3 seasons unless you add on more seasons (another thing that was asked for down here). SP are awarded on a per game basis with bonuses at specific points in a season.
So no, you cannot create a Plateau level dot but you can easily catch up to the rookie builds anytime. Principal is the same though... a way to catch a build up to a certain level if not made in time works the same if you wanted to extend that to higher levels.

Can kind of build insta dots on GLB II. Not quite instant but can be done over a week or so (could be slightly less or more).

Basically, you build a pickup player and play pickup games as quickly as you can (need to be on here quite regularly to get it done as quickly as possible). Playing pickup games gains the same experience as playing regular games, but you can play several each day. Once player is at the level you require, for instance just reached Vet, you can convert that player from a pickup player to a real player and just play through plateau.

Taken from GLB II....

Convert Pickup Player
You can convert a Pickup Player to a Normal Player at any time for 20 flex points per level he has reached. Free Pickup Players will also require their base position creation cost if you do not have a Free Player slot available. Flex Points spent on conversion, except for position creation costs, are NOT refunded when the player is retired.

Converting your player will free up his pickup player slot so you can make another.

This process is PERMANENT, so make sure you really want to convert your player before doing it!

Thanks Drew. I had forgotten the pickup player approach.
