The guy fumbles the ball in the endzone, but GLB is coded so badly it marks it a safety because obviously the people who made this game don't know shit about football. Whoever said this game is shitty knew what they were talking about. What a lame ass piece of work this game is lol

Does it say that it is a fumble in the replay, no. This is glb land bort himself has said the the images are not exact to what hey appear to be even though it looks like the ball was fumbled.

You're missing one crucial part of the equation, bro.... you might have to find it in the game stats but the replay makes absolutely no mention of either the fumble or, if fumbled, who recovered. If offense recovers then it's still a safety.

This. What you see in replays is not exactly what happens. You're correct, it's a bug only in that the replay makes you think it was a fumble because the ball stayed where the initial contact happened while the HB took an extra step. However, like Bluesman said, the replays are only an approximation of what actually happens. If you and your buddy Darncat hate the game as much as you act, feel free to stop playing. No one is forcing you to continue to play.

THE GROUND CAN'T CAUSE A FUMBLE. If you actually watched the replay it was OBVIOUS he was tackled and had control of the ball when he hit the ground. None of the players on the field even bothered to recover the ball. Who possibly could have scored a touchdown?

You do realize you don't score a touchdown in your own end zone, right?

420 is technically correct that there's a bug here. However, the bug is a graphical bug, not a sim bug. As mentioned already in this thread, Bort has said plenty of times over the years that when there is a conflict between the text and the graphics, the text is correct and the graphics are wrong. And at this point, I doubt Bort will lose much sleep over this graphical bug sullying his game.

After further review, the ruling on the field is confirmed. The ball carrier was tackled in his own end zone, and there was no fumble on the play. The result of the play is a safety. The defense gains 2 points, and the offense will punt from their own-- wait, what? They do KICKOFFS after safeties instead of punting? No, that's not-- is it? Huh. Somebody should really fix that.

Asked for... forgotten in the suggestion forums likely NGTH. TBH, in "Real" football, the team (kicking) has a choice of either punting it or kicking it. Since the LOS is supposed to be... the 25 YL (I think)... most teams choose to punt over kick because of the extra hangtime. I've never heard of a kicker kicking a 'free kick' far enough for a touchback. A kickoff, yes. O_o

Show me a replay where someone fumbles in the EZ. You can't because just as HAS BEEN SHOWn in the offensive end zone, tackling takes precedence. So the ball carrier OBVIOUSLY FUMBLES THE BALL, yet the tackle takes precedence in the sim because its in the EZ and the call of safetey immediately ends the play, even though the ball is loose. Both graphic versions of the sim show the same thing... it was a fumble. I just received a response from support: its a bug- it WAS a fumble, not a visual bug. You are all a bunch of fucking morons who don't know what the fuck you're talking about.
