I do think and agree, in most cases, that's the best value.. However, with some builds if you can snag a piece that covers the high end of the SA tree (4th or 5th SA) then that is also a great value. It takes a LOT of SPs to get the last two SA's on the tree up to 10 (preferred number) because you have to fill in the one's in front of them a lot and the (SP) cost increases with each # you move them up. So, if you have a build where you can afford to get a 4th AEQ and still get the % pieces you need with the other 3 and CEQ, then getting one of those high tree SA's is a good route to go sometimes. I use to use it on the Bonus SA but learned that's a waste since the cost to raise that is static (it's not in the tree so it's pretty easy to bump it up with SP's). And I would say never use AEQ to get a lower tier SA on the tree... it just isn't worth it at all IMO.

About the only dot I’ll Use this method on is WR and Juke, and O-line with Pancake and Aura. Any 4 AEQ D dots i’ll make will all have % gear, with some % gear double stacked.

I usually take that approach on every 4 AEQ dot I make.

There's 2 reasons to do a 4 AEQ dot IMO...

#1 an extreme dot where the +58 is more valuable than the +55.

#2 a dot like a coverage dot that requires many different +15% gear.

On a CB the only thing I'd use it for other than % gear, is either SV (because it's better than a second piece of AF% gear imo) or SDC on a Man Archy CB specifically, because it's green and at the end of the tree.

MT%, AF%, Def%/Int%

Deflections would be cooler if the ball couldn't be caught afterwards. It's enough to piss off the Pope when the CB does everything he's supposed to, and the WR still catches it for a big gain.

Re-rolling a losing % can alter the results to above 50%.
Example, say CB deflects 40% but Not deflects 60%.
Then if you apply those same percentages to the re-roll, the CB would deflect 40% of that 60% and the total Not deflected would fall to 60% of 60%. The final percentages would be Deflect = .4 + (.4 * .6) = 64% and Not Deflect = .6 * .6 = 36%

The math would favor the VA in the middle ranges. Extremely bad deflectors wouldn't benefit greatly nor would already great deflectors.
