Ehhhhh not so much. Was cutting wood for house heat which was nothing new but I was having to do it on a day that was more windy than I like to work in. Sure nuff, gust shoved the tree back against the way I had it to fall. I wanted to run but I also wanted to save my chainsaw. Saved the chainsaw. Me? Not as lucky. So I'm sitting here like some half wrapped mummy with my right arm wrapped against my side. Some cracked ribs, shoulder is buggered good... arm took a beating. Back to normal (I hope) in a month. One handed typing sucks.

Sounds cheaper to buy a new chainsaw!

Oh, and that’s much more than a scratch

Well at least you can still whack wood one-handed.

Ambidextrous. You can't stop me from whackin. Now, holding things steady... that's a different story.

Obviously. Using power tools while whacking wood can be dangerous to you health.

Yeah... that damn 'spur of the moment' thing. I know I should'a bloody ran like a stripped ass ape. I also could've dove aside (no lower branches) instead of trying to shove the damn tree off away from the chainsaw. I mean... sh*t... it's an old Poulan and likely not worth more than $100.

sounds like you could have saved yourself a world full of ouch and have enjoyed the dulcet tones of a new chainsaw to boot.
