A surprising amount of decent teams got demoted from Competitive #1 last season to Terribad #2 this season, so might as well have one thread for both leagues. *shrug*

My best guess was that the sorting hat took the 4 playoff semifinalists from each of the 3 Prep leagues and put them in Elite #1. "Top" teams only, amirite? But the damn thing must be buggy... it picked ECE too.

Okay, got it figured out... Elite #1 got the top-4 playoff finishers from Prep #1 (Hawaii, Adriatic, Palm Bay, All-American), the top-4 playoff finishers from Prep #2 (Sydney, Jersey HighRollers, Plainview, Slim Jimbos), and 2 of the top-4 playoff finishers from Prep #3 (Montlake and Paris). That's 10 teams to fill 12 slots... the other two top-4 playoff finishers from Prep #3 got left behind in Prep and did not age up to University. So to fill the last 2 slots, the sorting hat tapped the next-best Prep #1 team (ECE) aaaaaaand The Houston Roughnecks, a team that was in University #2 last season but got left behind in University and did not age up. All remaining Prep teams went to University #2.
However, that leaves University #1 with two CPU-roster teams (Slim Jimbos and Houston) and one team with a fully-human non-boosting roster that is heavily out-leveled (Plainview). Those teams are doomed from the start. So in the East, your playoff teams will be Palm Bay, All-American, Montlake and ECE (though not necessarily in that order). In the West, you can eliminate Slim Jimbos... and probably the Jersey HighRollers as well, who simply have never looked impressive in either S69 or S70. So in the West, the playoff teams will be Hawaii, Adriatic, Sydney and Paris (probably in that order). In the playoffs, Things Will Happen, and Hawaii will win it all. Again. Oh, and ECE will whine about stuff. Again.
In University #2, Alpha Conference, Monmouth is a lock to win Alpha, 4th Street will be #2, the College Station Stat-Whores will probably take #3 by beating the other CPU teams and losing 274-113 to Monmouth and 4th Street, and I dunno, take your pick of the remaining CPU teams to take the 4th playoff spot.
In University #2, Zeta Conference, New Orleans, Jersey and Hood should finish 1-2-3. Doesn't matter which CPU team finishes #4. Playoffs come down to New Orleans beating Monmouth to win the league.
There ya go. No need to play S71. Everyone can just play Fortnite for the next few weeks and take it easy.

The only team from League #1 that we can get a scrimmage from is Jersey HighRollers who is planning for WL only. I am guessing our league is thinking about being competitive.
