On a serious note, the holidays are not as happy, and are extremely difficult for some. Please be mindful of your family, friends, and others, especially the elderly, single, ill, or introverted that can be alone and neglected for extended periods during these days. We can all get a little self-centered and consumed in our own chaos and forget that some are quietly suffering with loneliness, isolation and depression.
Make a phone call, a short visit, even a text, to your loved ones and others that don’t get the companionship and encouragement that we all need. Let them know someone cares. Just 5 minutes of your time could have profound effects, and any of us can be in a similar position in a flash. Just remember what and whom the holidays are really all about, it’s not cheap TVs.
