what is the FS doing on the wrong side of the formation on this play? Why are so many guys bunched inside
to the extent that they are tripping over themselves trying to get anywhere? Even that crappy CPU FS could
have probably made the tackle if he is anywhere around where he should be lined up. Were he lined up in
a good place, they play could have been blown up for a 2 yard loss. If Smitty is willing to help i'd say go for it.
I'd import you my AI, but honestly i don't think you are ready for its complexity and for sure the rookie dots aren't
you'd have to undo seasons worth of adjustments, and that'd be a hella task for even an experienced DC

A half CPU team could do very well in most rookie leagues these days, even the slightest bit of effort and knowledge, combined with a few pee-wee style dots could easily beat rookie dots, since most of them are basically useless on the field (all speed, all strength, doesn't really lead to a very solid dot at this level).
Since all his players signed on to a mostly CPU team with a new owner, my guess would be they probably aren't building dots "correctly" for rookie, and therefore may be much better built to actually win the rookie league.
