ok, i think i have the answer for my team yay, thanks all

with all these BT we didn't realize we had coming, we can get both!

somehow luck would have it, unless my math is way off, that the majority of the team
will hit plateau with 900xp remaining. Converting that to TP and doing the light train,
will net 13 light trains plus change, so that 78 BT will be enough to add AoI as the
second additional SA and keep pummel. Yay! I might recommend balance for some
of the OTs with less strength though, unless that's garbage...

I'm sure you are aware by now that there have been changes to aoi since 2008, and it does work for offensive players

Anyone have an opinion on Balance? I was considering it for my C- however, the more i think about it,
on inside rushes, even if balance works, with the tackle radius most NTs have, they are going to have a chance
to make the tackle regardless when the blocker stumbles. However, it seems for guys in space, unless the ball-carrier
is right upon them, Balance could give them a chance to get back on that block, and these guys tend not to be quite as strong
so might be more likely to be revcaked So, i'm thinking it could be good for OT and maybe even pulling Gs on outside rushes.
I've never used it really though, so this is all speculation. Anyone try investing in it? It seems to be generally looked down on...

Yeah... Big Rat Uno found the links for me. Thanks bro.

As for balance, I think it's better for a defensive player than an offensive one. There's much better SA's you can put your SP's into than Balance and, even if it works for you, you'll still get shoved aside long enough for the defender to make a play or get by you.

I suspect it's looked down on because everyone on the o-line is already built to avoid rev cakes. I've never tried investing in it, but I'd be willing to bet it would be good for those 240-250 pound DEs and DTs. They'd still get pushed around, but they might not suffer the morale spiral from getting pancaked regularly, with Showboat Blocker, and whatever else.

As good as the explanation is that touts the 'quality' of Balance, here's the thing NOT explained well. Balance allows your lineman to possibly avoid getting pancaked and, instead, only being momentarily shunted aside, allowing for that lineman to re-engage into the play much more sooner than had he gotten knocked down and needed to get back up first before becoming active again. Take note of where I emphasized certain things. First of all is there's nor guarantee that it will fire which means having just a couple of points into it is a waste if you want it to work as often as possible. Second of all, and worst of all, is that your dot STILL is momentarily ineffective and the way dots are built, at the higher levels, that's MORE than enough time for the defender to just race past your 'temporarily unbalanced dot' and either hammer the runner or crush the QB. I've watched enough replays to see it happen plenty with other SA's which allow a defender to 'momentarily' shunt aside an O-lineman and make a disaster of the play. Since we're talking SP's here that you're spending for this SA, then you always have to 'balance; that with the fact that there are much more important and better SA's available to you that make your dot better.
