Probably won't have time for rankings for a day or two, but the only Game 7 results that really went against chalk were Jersey over Hood 14-13 and ECE and New Orleans getting into a hilarious tie. Neither result really moves the needle much.

RANKINGS AFTER GAMES 7 & 8 AND TOURNEY QUARTERFINALS

#01 Hawaiian Kings
Previous rank: #01
Recent results: def. Adriatic 56-9, def. ECE 14-2, advanced in Tourney with 31-14 win over ECE
Two hard-fought wins over ECE in two days cements Hawaii's place at the top. Honestly, they could drop a game at this point and, as long as it wasn't an embarrassing blowout, I'd probably still keep them #1. Up next is -- oh no, UBU JARY!!! THE CARNAGE!!! AVERT YOUR EYES!!! HIDE THE CHILDREN!!!

#02 ECE Respawn
Previous rank: #02
Recent results: tied New Orleans 21-21, lost to Hawaii 14-2, eliminated from Tourney with 31-14 loss to Hawaii
Proved they belong at #2 -- but no higher -- with two hard-fought losses to Hawaii that were nonetheless losses. Their tie with New Orleans was beautiful too... overtime was where both offenses went to die, apparently. Oh, the punting! 4th Street is next but shouldn't pose much of a challenge.

#03 New Orleans Jazz Cats
Previous rank: #03
Recent results: tied ECE 21-21, lost to All-American 7-6, already eliminated from Tourney in Round-of-16
Two weird finishes in a row have the Jazz Cats scrambling to fix their AI. Against ECE, the Jazz Cats showed very little urgency on offense in the last 6 minutes of regulation with the score tied, and that continued in Overtime as New Orleans ended OT with the ball inside the ECE 35 while still seemingly running their standard, non-hurry offense. Then against All-American trailing 7-3 with under a minute to go, New Orleans conceded the game with a FG on 4th down. New Orleans is still one of the best teams in Prep, but they'll need to nail down their AI if they want to win the close ones. Up next is Hood.

#04 Palm Bay Palookas
Previous rank: #04
Recent results: def. Ubu 125-0, def. Hood 79-3, advanced in Tourney with 56-7 win over Montlake
Got rolling with an easy win over CPUbu and then hammered Hood and Montlake. Adriatic is next, and while on-paper it should be an easy win, Adriatic has given Palm Bay some fights in the past.

#05 Monmouth Evil Monkeys
Previous rank: #05
Recent results: def. Huntsville 10-7, def. 4th Street 59-0, not enrolled in Tourney
Wow, Monmouth's offense did not look good against Huntsville, but they managed to get the win with some 4th quarter heroics. Next up is Jersey, but with Monmouth's offense continuing to mis-fire, Jersey is far from an easy win.

#06 All-American Crimson Lancers
Previous rank: #07
Recent results: def. 4th Street 80-0, def. New Orleans 7-6, advanced in Tourney with 36-0 win over Jersey Mets
When All-American upset New Orleans in the Tourney, I thought it was mostly a combination of All-American having a hot game and maybe New Orleans not taking the Tourney seriously. But they just did it again, choking out New Orleans's offense and showing they deserve to be taken more seriously from now on. Huntsville is next, but All-American has struggled at times in their taking-care-of-business games, so we'll see if they can turn a corner here.

#07 Hood Rich Dotballers
Previous rank: #06
Recent results: lost to Jersey 14-13, lost to Palm Bay 79-3, already eliminated from Tourney in Round-of-16
Somehow managed to lose to Jersey and then got humiliated by Palm Bay. And it doesn't get any easier: their next two games are New Orleans and Hawaii.

#08 Adriatic Sea Wasps
Previous rank: #09
Recent results: lost to Hawaii 56-9, def. Jersey Mets 14-7, already eliminated from Tourney in Round-of-16
No shame in a big loss to Hawaii, and they managed to top Jersey, so that's something. Palm Bay is next, and though the upset looks like a tall order on paper, Adriatic has been a thorn in Palm Bay's side before.

#09 Jersey Mets
Previous rank: #08
Recent results: def. Hood 14-13, lost to Adriatic 14-7, eliminated from Tourney with 36-0 loss to All-American
Somehow managed to upset Hood, but then followed that with a loss to Adriatic, so I'm not sold on this being some sort of turnaround for Jersey. Monmouth is next and will likely be another L.

#10 Paris Smexies
Previous rank: #11
Recent results: two easy wins over CPU teams, advanced in Tourney with 36-14 win over Huntsville
Picked up a nice win over Huntsville in the Tourney, so I've finally seen enough to bump them up over Montlake. Can they upset All-American in the Tourney on 12/9?

#11 Montlake Huskies
Previous rank: #10
Recent results: two easy wins over CPU teams, eliminated from Tourney with 56-7 loss to Palm Bay
Fell hard to Palm Bay in the Tourney, and Montlake's next chance to impress us won't come until their 12/16 rematch with Paris.

#12 Huntsville Rockets
Previous rank: #12
Recent results: lost to Monmouth 10-7, def. Ubu 182-7, eliminated from Tourney with 36-14 loss to Paris
Nearly upset Monmouth, and also played a decent game against Paris in the Tourney. Huntsville remains outgunned, but they continue to fight to their full potential in every game. All-American is next.

#13 Jersey HighRollers
Previous rank: #13
Recent results: two easy wins over CPU teams, not enrolled in Tourney
Jersey won't have another competitive game in League #2 until Game 15 against Sydney, and given how Sydney bombed out of the Tourney, Jersey's 10-point win over Sydney in Game 1 is thoroughly unimpressive.

#14 Sydney Sharks
Previous rank: #14
Recent results: two easy wins over CPU teams, already eliminated from Tourney in Round-of-16
Sydney has only had two real games so far this season, and they lost them both. They'll get a chance to do something about it in their Game 15 rematch with the HighRollers, but that might be too little too late.

NON-COMPETITIVE TEAMS

Thank you very much! The Jersey Mets have always given us a good game. I hope we can outlast them in tonight's game!

Thanks guys.

Gonna take it easy on myself since the results tonight followed chalk except for Jersey over Monmouth, which probably had more to do with Monmouth's consistently inconsistent offense than with Jersey suddenly remembering how to play dotball again, so no changes to the rankings.

RANKINGS AFTER GAMES 9,10 and 11

This is where things get interesting, because after Game 11, for one brief moment, every team has played an identical schedule. How does everybody shake out? Let's see...

#01 Hawaiian Kings
Previous rank: #01
Wins: ECE 31-14 and 14-2, New Orleans 45-3, Palm Bay 49-21, Monmouth 84-10, All-American 44-10
Losses: none!
Hawaii's record is full of solid, quality wins, and the only teams who have shown any ability to stand up to Hawaii at all are ECE and maaaaaaaaaybe Palm Bay if you squint juuuuuust right. This is officially Hawaii's league to lose, and they probably won't.

#02 ECE Respawn
Previous rank: #02
Wins: Palm Bay 63-0, Monmouth 14-3, All-American 37-30
Losses: Hawaii 31-14 and 14-2, tied with New Orleans 21-21
ECE hasn't been able to solve the Hawaii puzzle yet, but they've come closer than anyone else. But other teams have pushed ECE at times, and the tie with New Orleans probably should've been a loss if the Jazz Cats had tightened up their AI a bit more.

#03 New Orleans Jazz Cats
Previous rank: #03
Wins: Palm Bay 27-21, tied with ECE 21-21
Losses: Hawaii 45-3, Monmouth 17-16, All-American 31-14 and 7-6
The Jazz Cats have looked solid overall, but a curious inability to take care of business has them lower in the standings than Palm Bay at the moment. Still, if the Jazz Cats repeat their in-conference performance the second time around, they'll finish ahead of Palm Bay, so I have them ranked higher here too.

#04 Palm Bay Palookas
Previous rank: #04
Wins: Monmouth 31-6, All-American 23-10
Losses: Hawaii 49-21, ECE 63-0, New Orleans 27-21
Palm Bay has been able to earn wins over everyone below them, but they have yet to break through against the top 3 of Hawaii, ECE, or New Orleans this season.

#05 Monmouth Evil Monkeys
Previous rank: #05
Wins: New Orleans 17-16, All-American 17-10
Losses: Hawaii 84-10, ECE 14-3, Palm Bay 31-6, Hood 28-14, Jersey 21-7
Monmouth's defense is good enough to beat anybody, but their offense is bad enough to lose to anybody, sometimes with hilarious results. If they could just somehow get just slightly better on offense, they could be a real nightmare of a team to face.

#06 All-American Crimson Lancers
Previous rank: #06
Wins: New Orleans 31-14 and 7-6
Losses: Hawaii 44-10, ECE 37-30, Palm Bay 23-10, Monmouth 17-10, Adriatic 13-3
All-American has shown a tendency to play up to or play down to their competition, upsetting New Orleans twice and looking strong against ECE, Palm Bay and Monmouth, but also dropping a game to Adriatic and showing a lack of offensive firepower at times.

#07 Hood Rich Dotballers
Previous rank: #07
Wins: Monmouth 28-14
Losses: Hawaii 122-0, ECE 22-10, New Orleans 29-23, Palm Bay 79-3, All-American 40-7, Jersey 14-13
Hood has shown the ability to keep some games close against top teams and even notched an upset win over Monmouth, but their overall performance has been shaky this season, especially in their loss to Jersey.

#08 Adriatic Sea Wasps
Previous rank: #08
Wins: All-American 13-3
Losses: Hawaii 56-9, ECE 77-7, New Orleans 17-10, Palm Bay 49-20 and 45-14, Monmouth 24-20
Adriatic had a reputation for fighting hard in close losses last season, but they've let too many big teams run over them this season.

#09 Jersey Mets
Previous rank: #09
Wins: Monmouth 21-7, Hood 14-13
Losses: Hawaii 35-21, ECE 31-3, New Orleans 34-7, Palm Bay 42-14, All-American 41-0 and 36-0, Adriatic 14-7
Jersey has somehow scraped out two quality wins, but their overall performance this season has been highly disappointing compared to how they did in Rookie.

#10 Paris Smexies
Previous rank: #10
Wins: Montlake 31-24, Huntsville 36-14
Losses: no significant losses, but they're in Prep League #3
They've only had 2 real games so far, but they've won them both. Can they upset All-American in the Tourney on 12/9?

#11 Montlake Huskies
Previous rank: #11
Wins: no significant wins
Losses: Paris 31-24, Palm Bay 56-7
Lost both of their only two real games so far, and Montlake's next chance to impress us won't come until their 12/16 rematch with Paris.

#12 Huntsville Rockets
Previous rank: #12
Wins: no significant wins
Losses: Hawaii 89-14, ECE 21-3, New Orleans 49-42, Palm Bay 94-0, Monmouth 10-7, All-American 66-0
Nearly upset New Orleans and Monmouth, but Huntsville just doesn't have the firepower to compete in this league. Still, they're clearly fighting hard and trying to win every game, and they can't be taken for granted.

#13 Jersey HighRollers
Previous rank: #13
Wins: no significant wins
Losses: no significant losses, but they're in Prep League #2
Jersey won't have another competitive game in League #2 until Game 15 against Sydney, and given how Sydney bombed out of the Tourney, Jersey's 10-point win over Sydney in Game 1 is thoroughly unimpressive.

#14 Sydney Sharks
Previous rank: #14
Wins: no significant wins
Losses: ECE 70-0, Jersey HighRollers 24-14
Sydney has only had two real games so far this season, and they lost them both. They'll get a chance to do something about it in their Game 15 rematch with the HighRollers, but that might be too little too late.
