Alright, let's start some arguments.
Earlier tonight I put together a list of all the teams in all 4 Rookie Leagues, and listed out their regular-season records, playoff runs, and performance in the Rookie Tourney. Then I started comparing teams and came up with my own top-20 ranking of all of Season 69's Rookie teams. Here it is. Feel free to call me an idiot, but A.) bring some facts, and B.) I don't see YOUR rankings, fool. Let's see you put your neck out there like this.
Here we go:
#01 Hawaiian Kings
Undefeated in League #1, destroyed almost everyone they played, and 33 seconds away from winning the Rookie Tourney as well. You find me a better team.
#02 Palm Bay Palookas
Started slow, but got hot at the end and handed Brew Crew their only meaningful loss of the season. (Full disclosure: this is my team, so maybe I'm biased.)
#03 Brew Crew
Destroyed almost everyone they faced, won the Rookie Tourney over the tough Hawaiian Kings, and came within a whisper of beating Palm Bay in the playoffs.
#04 Jersey Mets
While their record in league-play was a little bumpy, they still outclassed most of their opponents and won 3rd place in the Rookie Tourney by 60 points over the Jazz Cats.
#05 New Orleans Golden Kangaroos
Finished #2 in League #2 and even notched a regular-season win over Palm Bay, though their 28-point title-game loss and early exit from the Rookie Tourney showed their limitations.
#06 New Orleans Jazz Cats
Started strong in League #2 and in the Rookie Tourney but faded down the stretch in both.
#07 Cairns City Crocodiles
Ran the table against their conference in League #1, but never could quite get over the hump against the top teams in their league's other conference and got outclassed by the Jazz Cats in the first round of the Rookie Tourney.
#08 Monmouth Evil Monkeys
Held their own in a tough conference, but never could figure out how to beat Hawaii, Jersey, or Cairns City.
#09 ECE Respawn
Winning the extremely-weak League #3 doesn't mean much, but it still means something, and they looked decent-ish against Hawaiian in the Rookie Tourney.
#10 All-American Crimson Lancers
Won the even-weaker League #4 and got smoked by Jersey in the Rookie Tourney, but showed in a couple of private scrims that they could score some points against Hawaiian.
#11 Montlake Huskies
Struggled to break through in the tough environment of League #1, but played some tough teams close and even notched an upset over the Golden Kangaroos in the Rookie Tourney.
#12 Moments Musicaux
Held up well against Brew Crew in the Rookie Tourney, but came up short in the playoffs in League #4.
#13 Ubu Jary
#14 LA Halos
#15 Adriatic Sea Wasps
#16 Jersey HighRollers
#17 Sydney Sharks
#18 Paris Smexies
#19 Hood Rich Dotballers
#20 Queensland Exiles
No explanations for #12 or lower, and no rankings for #21 or lower. Want me to care more about your awful team? Play better in Season 70.
Alright, everybody, fire away!
