Hi,

On my CB, tackling has been stuck at level 57 for more than a season. I keep improving all of my primary stats. I use tackling and speed for my equipment boosts and no matter what I seem to do, I am stuck at 57. Been that way for more than a season. What is the secret to getting the tackling stat to move?

equipment has no impact on the bars in the upper right hand corner

strength and tackling increase the tackling bar - I don't remember the other attributes off the top of my head from back in the day when we had a bunch of people working on decoding them

I believe this is the old formula

strength attribute * (4/17)
agility attribute * (3/17)
confidence * (1/17)
vision * (2/17)
tackling * (6/17)
(weight/5)/17

add them all up

understand, the bar rounds to the closest 3, so if the bar shows 57, it means the equation should calculate to 55.5-58.5 and once over 58.5 it should show 60

Fwiw.... Those bars aren't for you. You shouldn't be trying to move them, or even pay attention to them.

Those bars were originally designed to be a tool for opposing teams to scout players. If you click on any random player, you'll always see their "scouting report" even though you can't necessarily see their attributes.

The numbers you should be watching are your Effective Level and your Player Value. Ideally your Effective Level should be larger than your player's level, and in theory your Player Value should be as high as possible.
