I went inactive for about 5 years. And it don’t seem like anything has changed since the last time I left.

If you don’t build in the cookie cutter mold. Then you’re wasting time. And in a lot of cases money.

The last two meaningful changes were the switch to 12-team leagues and the addition of yet another free-player slot, making it possible for long-time players to have up to 4 free player slots. I forget when those happened, and I don't feel like looking them up.

There's been no updates to the build process. There was a league restructure to help account for a dwindling player base. We're probably due for another of those, but there's never going to be any change to mechanics of building.

Depends on what 'fun' means to you concerning the game. If it's all abvout winning and World League then, yeah... grab yer cookie cutter cuz that's what 99% of what it takes (that and good coaches/owners/teams). If, however, you just enjoy some friends and a bit of wasting time together along with some wins and just hangin out havin fun... the only thing this place is missing is more people (especially ladies), some alcohol, and some damn good B-B-Q. (maybe some good live music too but I can always pop in a CD and jam when I'm here, which I do a lot.)
