Hey everybody! After a 29-season hiatus, everyone's second-favorite all-running team is returning to GLB for Season 69: the Palm Bay Palookas!
Last time around, we made it all the way to World League using nothing but running plays and screen plays, winning a few loltrophies on the way up and having a ton of fun. I'll be running the offense and other team maintenance myself just like before, and our previous Defensive Coordinator, xxflip, is returning to re-install his excellent defensive system.
We've managed to fill up almost all of our roster, but we're short 4 dots at the moment:
1 FB - We need a speedy blocker who is fast enough to hit the hole ahead of our RBs on inside runs and fast enough to get to the edge on outside runs. We'll have 2 FBs on the roster total, and we'll be using an FB on almost every play, so you'll see plenty of action and get lots of pancakes, just like our FBs did last time.
1 LOLB - Our DC xxflip will need a Speed/Agility-based LOLB who can cover well on passing plays and deliver solid tackling on run plays. We'll have 6 LBs on the roster total (not counting STOP-LBs), so again, you'll see plenty of action.
2 STOP-dots - We'll be using a group of 6 dedicated STOP dots as fumble-forcing gunners. I'm fine with a 100-cost O-Line dot, but I certainly won't complain if you want to build a 200-cost defensive dot for our STOP-squad! Last time we did this, our STOP-gunners caused a lot of chaos on Special Teams, so you'll definitely have some fun with us.
Some additional info... We're looking to win, so we're looking for boosters with CEQ. xxflip and I will gameplan for all potentially-competitive games, so we'll always be playing at our best and giving you something meaningful to watch as we work our way up. We have to play the lower levels first before we can get to Natty Pro and World League... might as well enjoy the trip, right?
