Hello!

I got bored and started looking around the internet for things I used to be interested in and found GLB. GLB2 looks dumb (no offense) and I found my way back here. Amazingly enough, I still have flex points.

I see a lot of the same forum names. Is the game still relatively the same? My offensive playbooks have a scary red exclamation point next to them.

Anywho, we'll see if I can get back into it a little. I already spent the money.

Yeah... we kinda left BETA a while back and I suspect things have changed. There's some links in other 'I'm back' threads out there that will help ya. GLB2 isn't horrible... it has some stuff I wish they'd done here... and some stuff they shouldn't've even tried... but, hey, you get free dots to play with in both places so enjoy.

GLB3 is to incorporate all the good things of GLB and update the graphics of GLB2. The best of both worlds. The dynamic seating and expanded stadium options are a welcomed. The drafting system for the rookies is interesting, not really sure how that is going to play out in the end.

I'm sorry, I've been out of the loop for a while. Did you say "GLB3"?!?

Yeah... he's a little behind the times. They're workin on GLB 5 by now.

Everything on the surface looks pretty much the same as when I stopped playing, but I'm sure some of the math behind it all has been futzed with.

I already forgot many things about dot-building and made two of my free guys too early. I do like to consider my flex pile "free" as well, since I paid for it so long ago and it's still here.

Well, on to refreshing my dot building skills (if I ever had them)...

Don't forget, they're free player slots, not free players. So if you retire one, that frees up that slot for another free player.

Was cap-building already a thing when you left before? That's still pretty much the way to go, from my understanding.

I believe so. I stopped in season 14, but I have some retired players that still show up on my home screen (as opposed to the hundreds I created previously) and they seem to be cap built.

Slow-building was a thing that I remember, and holding off on boosts until the exact right time.

Season 14? Wow, that's a ways back. There are definitely people in here who are smarter than me who can explain cap-building better than I can, but I have a good explanation from jdbolick saved in my private forum. I'll send you an invite right now.
