That sounds right, though I think he was into decline by then.

When I go back to look at past seasons, most of the teams are no longer in existence or have changed their team name. Anyone know how to see what team they actually played for? Like the Salty Dogs, I remember playing for them, but when I look at S18 under my player's Game Log it lists the team as "TIM" and it's a dead link when I click on it.

That's a funny story. By Season 36 my interest in being an active owner was starting to wane, but I figured it would be worth making one more run at it.

So, I contacted ufshowboat about his Quarterback - Tim Freebowhttp://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2483970 . Freebow had won World League Offensive MVP in Season 34, while leading the Honolulu Hurricane Wife Carriers to the World League Title.

ufshowboat agreed to bring him to the St. John's Salty Dogs with one stipulation. I had to agree to change the name to "Tim Freebow's Salty Dogs." I changed the name, he joined the team, and he rode off into the sunset with some gaudy statistics and a team that still bears his name.

As far as Glossy Eyes, I'm not sure if he was in decline or not. In Season 17, the St. John's Salty Dogs won Canada Pro League ( http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1357531 ) and earned a promotion to World League. I had to replace both of my FS's and Glossy Eyes got the call.

Wow, great memory! Wish I could remember all those details. But I can't. Which is why it's sad GLB doesn't save it's history. Glossy was in WL back in a time when you could be an independent agent and still latch on with top teams if your build was good enough for the current sim. Even then it was hard, but shortly after it became pretty much impossible to not commit to a team from Day 1 if you wanted to play in the upper levels at final build, and I lost most interest in the game after a couple more generations of dots. But Glossy go to play with 3 different WL teams in his prime: Bonn Dynamo (where he won WL D-MVP), Nashville Hounds, and St. John's Salty Dogs. All 3 were a ton of fun, as were some other teams he played for before and after (

What was fun about being an independent agent was that I got to bounce around to a number of great teams/organizations and see "behind the curtain" of some legendary franchises as to how they interacted with each other in private forums vs. how they interacted with the competition in public forums. Was pretty fun and comical. Ahh, the memories...the few I can remember anyways...

Bigly Important GLB Announcement!

FS Glossy Eyes (S5 birth, S16 WL MVP) just played in his 1,000th regular season game! He is now over 2,440 days (>6.5 years) old, sits at #9 on the All-Time FS HOF list, and is just shy of 8,000 Fame.

Glossy has been pumping iron and popping pills in the retirement home for almost 50 seasons. The hammering effects of decline initially dropped him to an EL of ~8 and a Player Value of ~200, but through hard work and determination he has slowly but steadily built back up to an EL of 50 and PV of 800...and rising! He now has 45 VAs maxed out and 10+ points in 15 SAs.

So what does it all mean!?

.................yeah, idk, OCD most likely...XD

As the agent of the #1 All Time HOF FS, congrats, that is really impressive! Makes me wish I extended Ed Reeds career.

Building FS dots back in the early days was really fun. It was a unique challenge to make an impact with them because of how hard it was to get ints. I'm thinking about playing GLB again... is it still good? I have a million flex lol

It's... different than way back then if you haven't built dots since the game left BETA. Also, most of us left here are those of us that have been here since forever which means we're so use to HOW to build dots well under the new system that we can do it without the VPB or anything like that. I think I could build a guard in my sleep. But, seriously, there's been some of us just having fun and experimenting with different approaches (some successful... most not so much so) to builds. So, why not have some fun? Otherwise it's just throwing money away. Wait... (looks at how much he's spent over the years)... oh.

Experimenting is what makes it fun. I have plenty of flex left over to play around with. I think I'll dive back in next season.

Inspired by Glossy Eyes , thought I'd try and sign a few D +2000 to Regional pro Team.Imagine my surprise when got this message.
" This player is not of the right age to sign in this team's league. Players must be between 181 and 1000 days old to join this league. "
Didn't know about D1000 limit .

I think support can put them on there for you if you PM them. Just hope it isn't 3 year later

I wondered this, can you just keep signing extensions? is that how or do you have to have support do it each season.
