The forums may not be as active as they used to be, but there are plenty of active agents and owners. There are probably ~ 100 active players, and the player base the game does have is loyal. The game is far from dead. Bort is still making loads off Flex buyers. The only thing we need to do is continue to spend money on the game and grow the player base through advertising.

Sometimes I wish the GLB clock ran a bit faster. Like maybe if a day was like 12 hours instead of 24. That would help some of us get to our next Flex purchase without changing anything in the game.
Just sayin'...

Sounds like a drug addiction.

I'm curious as to how you or anyone think this would work? I know there has been threads before, but I can't find them and too lazy to look. Asking a serious question here...

just do it like the VPB except you cant just reset or whatever. once you use theflex to boost, nothing can be backtracked.

agreed with OP fix player building... like this

Re-adjust all the league structures and decrease player build time.

Keep the season 2 XP timeline (500/50) in place for the whole career (8K from 16 games + 2K from 40 days = 10k XP per season -- Then do 4 boosts per season instead of 3)

1-5 offseason (4)

5 -19 High School (8)
19-33 College Freshman (12)
33-47 Sophomore (16)
47-61 Junior (20)
61-75 Senior (24)

4 End Build Boosts (28) ..... Plateau = Pro

That would make players slightly cheaper also, so it's a win-win right?

But in theory, if dots grew faster, then there would be more flex spent over the same period of time on more players total. Like right now it's basically 30 boosts for an age 480 dot (480/30 So that's 1 boost every 16 days). If the age goes down to 400, that would be a boost every 14.2 days -- or to put it another way, the original player's 28 boosts would get paid for, and then 12 boosts of the next player would get bought over the same 480 day period... 40 boosts in 480 days instead of 30 ... so win-win-win?

This. Except I would only have a charge for dots kept. Cost of dots are probably why they have not. Despite the cost being the same as if one started it at rooky, the psych effect would turn some customers away.beOriginally posted by ProfessionalKop

For a 10 year old game product isn't bad but i grant it is not like it use to be.

As far as service I never had an issue about admins getting back to me on personal issues like some agents have express but then again I havn't had any issues as of late as if I do I just blow them off anymore.

As for the game there has been some fubars the past few seasons the most recent one where the season ticket sales didn't show up and the only explanation we got was they did but just showed under ticket sales not season ticket sales or something like that. I believe another one was games at the end of the season and playoff games taking days to sim so yes maybe the service does suck a bit.

My only beef is it takes to long to build a player as with other agents say the same thing so my flex buying is going to be very limited if I even buy anymore at all.

The reason I'd agree is looking at the lower age tiers.
The season I came back to the game (s65) there were only 1 or leagues per lower age tier,
but we had 4 rookie leagues that season (and the competition level was high). It seems at least
some other players like myself came back around that time, and interest seemed to pick up.
Now all the lower age tiers have 3 leagues and thus there should be a good number of players and teams
moving into the pro levels in the next few months to half a year. If that can stay steady it does bode well for GLB.
Of course its not like when the leagues were 32 teams, but the users now tend to all be serious and dedicated
and lets face it there was probably a lot of garbage back then and for all the higher volume, a lot of it was cpu
and free/unboosted players so i'd tarry that the revenue per user is a lot higher these days.

Its too bad they never tried to do any NFL tie in, or something of the sort.
there really isn't any other football sim online that i know of that allows players the ability
to customize players and game plans in a realistic type way. heck, they coulda changed the
dots to beer bottles and made millions selling it as bud bowl. they are still sitting on a potential goldmine,
but they don't know it...
