The question should be, how many teams can I fill with free agent players if I not build all the positions on all the teams I'm buying?

You can own up to 9 teams.
No more than 3 regular, 3 casual, and 3 pee wee
They can all be the same age, same level, same division, same conference if you wish.
However, there is a 21 day waiting period after you sell a team, so buy any additional teams before you sell one.

You can only sell a team back for a portion of what you paid for it. This is to encourage owners to make sure they really want the team before purchasing it. Note that if you sell a team, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BUY ANOTHER TEAM OF ANY TYPE FOR 21 DAYS!
