Any ideas. WE all know its dying. Long term agents still enjoy it, yet, its getting to costly to keep going. I see no new blood coming into the game. Its now 38 seasons since Beta, so I would guess they have recovered their developmental costs. What to do? DO nothing and continue to see it die a slow death. You know they won't rewrite any part of the game since it would cause them to incur needless expense on their part. Does anyone here play GLB2, if so is it any better then before? I never like GLB2.

It would seem some of the only options would be to get creative with flex point purchasing, free dots, which hasn't worked well and dot creation.

1. cut package cost of flex points in half or double the current flex points received. Making the game cheaper to play.

2. after option 1 is done, advertise this in all the social media outlets they have a presence in. Call it a rebirth or whatever just get the word out. We need new blood. If they get more points for less maybe some will stick around longer.

3. offer free temporary dots that live for only 480 days based on the size of the Flex package purchased. Added value benefit.

4. Add a Custom option on position archtypes were the agent chooses his gold star and blue star attributes. Give agents true control of their dot creating.

5. Reduce the cost to create a dot, to buy his CE, lower BT requirements for AE and return 100% of BT if you sell your AE( like if you make an upgrade mistake and want to rebuild it).

6. Give agents some thing for each season they have stayed in the game and active dots they currently have. Like 10 flex points for every season you were active in and 50 flex point per active dot at the end of the season. An add value option to become a long term agent and reward dot builders. Wouldn't count on your free dots.

What else can be done besides lower cost, giving some added value benefits and marketing these changes.

What other ideas are out there to help get more agents into this game again. Short of offering them some free sex, drugs and whatever other vice they like.

I like a lot of your ideas with the exception of #4. If you are going to do that, just eliminate the archetypes. I personally like the archetype system the way it is.

Option #1 and #5 that you listed make the most sense. I like your other ideas too.

In addition, what about rewarding dots for performances with FP? Here are a few thoughts (I am just shooting from the hip):

If you are on a team that wins a championship there should be some flex points rewarded.
Owner Rewards
League Tournament - 1000 FP (Rookie League, Prep League, etc.) - make these league tournaments hold some value again.
League Championship - 500 FP (Rookie #1, Rookie #2, etc.).
Conference Championship - 250 FP.
Undefeated Regular Season - 100 FP.
Playoff Win - 50 FP.
Regular Season Win - 25 FP.

Co-Owner/GM Rewards *GM as in Co-Owner, DC, OC, or ST Coach
League Tournament - 500 FP (Rookie League, Prep League, etc.) - make these league tournaments hold some value again.
League Championship - 250 FP (Rookie #1, Rookie #2, etc.).
Conference Championship - 125 FP.
Undefeated Regular Season - 50 FP.
Playoff Win - 25 FP.
Regular Season Win - 10 FP.
NOTE - you could even add rewards for having the highest scoring offense, lowest scoring defense, most team sacks, etc.

Player Rewards
League Tournament Championship - 50 FP/player.
League Championship - 25 FP/player.
Conference Championship - 10 FP/player.
MVP - 250 FP/player.
Statistical Award Winner (pancakes, rushing yards, etc.) - 50 FP.

My numbers might be too high, but at least it would help the people playing to recoup some flex points. The problem I can see with giving player rewards is people stacking stats for their own players just to get the flex points back. Maybe keep the incentives there for team owners and coordinators.

I intend to do League Survivor this season because my FP pile is starting to dwindle down. I know other users are in the same situation I am in. It cost way too much given the current state of the game to buy FP and build dots. I have tried for three seasons in a row to recruit for rookie teams and have not had any luck. I went to check out the cost to create my own team and it is nuts. As much as I love playing this game, I cannot afford it. I am a teacher, coach, and father of two. I do not have that kind of money laying around.

To build your own offensive line, cheapest players in the game, boost them thirty times, and have CEQ it would cost 42K in flex points (4 OT's, 4 G's, and 2 C's). It would cost $266-$280 to do that. That does not include the cost to own the team for ten seasons.

I would be down with some sort of subscription plan, but the rates would have to be cheaper than the current flex point rates are right now. You could have a ton of options for people. Have the packages come with specific players that expire on a date ten seasons from now and include all boosting and CEQ through that date. Package one could be three glamour position players. Package two could be three normal position players. Package three could be three non-glamour position players. Package four could be a mix of the first three. So many options. If you mess up, you only have that dot for free for ten seasons and then it goes away or you would have to use FP to "extend lifetime".

It seems admin/developers have been working on Time Break Chronicles.
I'm unsure how the GLB following will translate to TBC, however, they will have major issues because of the reflection of apathy here at GLB.

GLB just needs some TLC from admins and developers.

R their any developers left here since season 30. Maybe some low level admin. Clearly no marketing dept. There has to be a certain fix cost to keep processing these games and keep the web site functioning. It would seem that the more agents that used it the more they would earn! I could be wrong, maybe it would be cheaper for them to let it die!

I think with fantasy football coming up it would be the time to market the game again. Plus I like any idea that would lower the cost of Flex or increase the amount of flex purchased for the same price. Also rewarding agents length of participation and number of dots created using flex. Oh hell I'd like it if everything here got cheaper.

This game is dead and youre a moron if you spend money playing it. No one cares about you, me or anyone here, they got their money and could care less about helping those in need out.

Well for starters, spend money. The more profitable the game becomes, the greater the incentive Bort and co. have to continue it. I myself am preparing to buy the largest flex package in several weeks. Contrary to many, I don't think the game is dying at all. The player base is small, but they are loyal. And just because the forums aren't as active, doesn't mean people don't play. Without a player counter, it's hard to say what the actual numbers are. But ~ 100 players sounds right. Which, for a sports MMO (let's face it, MMO's are a niche category of game and people who like football AND play MMO's is even more niche).

Second point is advertising. The server needs to be advertised on websites which will draw traffic. There are sites which review MMOs and rank them by # of votes that game has received. What Bort should do is invest ~ 15% of the profits from GLB into advertising on these sites, which will draw traffic.

Third point, institute a voting system. Bort can link to these sites for his own users, and allow daily votes on each of them. The incentive to vote could be thus - every 10 votes, a user receives 50 Flex. This is a similar model to private servers run by people for games like RuneScape, where votes are recorded and provide in-game rewards.

I don't get it.
What is he the undertaker hanging around waiting for a customer?

As far as the question at hand:
Find and take on a financial partner who understands the game and would be willing to fund a re-vamp with the goal of relaunching with a plan to duplicate the success the game enjoyed initially but this time be ready and then benefit lastingly realizing it's not how much you make but how much you keep.

there's been like 0 updates to timebreak chronicles since november or something, so who even knows about that.

on another note. Insta 79 or speed up the build time, allow people to reach plateau in 3 months rather than 14 and let people burn through flex faster so the game can finally end.
