ok, lets start off with that I know there are no more changes. but am I the only one that wishes that players had a diving tackle slider that ranged from as soon as possible to only if runner is getting away? i get so tired of watching missed diving tackles on ST by players that are faster that the returner.

I disagree- to me, jumping on someone's back is a diving tackle.
How are you going to tackle someone from behind without diving or jumping on their back?
I can not understand what you are trying to describe.

jumping on a back is just tackling from behind, and this game doesnt distinguish that.

a diving tackle is when you leave your feet. if you miss the tackle, you've taken yourself out of the play. so if the ball carrier has 150 speed and the defender has 160, there's little reason for the defnder to dive when in another 2 yards, he can make a normal tackle. diving tackles in this game has a much higher rate of being missed.

How exactly did you come up with 2 yards in your scenario?

You don't have to jump or dive to tackle someone from behind. You don't watch a lot of football do you?

exactly- you proved my point. How can you tackle someone from behind without leaving your feet?
body slams, closelines, and legs sweeps are not legal... so how do you plan on accomplishing this?
Unless you are going to grab a guy, bring him to a halt, and drag him straight down, you are going
to leave your feel tackling someone WHO IS RUNNING AWAY FROM YOU... its called physics people

sometimes i think ppl want to complain rather than think things through

Here is one play I can remember where a guy gets caught from behind as much as a guy can
get caught from behind by- completely overtook him (and I never thought Watson was all that fast),
yet still its a diving tackle

lol what.
at least we now know who doesnt understand anything about football on glb.

"can't tackle someone from behind without jumping" there are literally a dozen tackles every week of guys being chased down and the tackler never jumping to tackle them from behind.

but you can also clip the shit out of the defender running behind the guy, so you technically can leg sweep in GLB, but dots dont have legs, or fronts for that matter.
