clearly at the line upon release. Where is Sean Salisbury to replay it in slow motion 700 times on national ESPN tv? Or is he even still in broadcasting?

You are incorrect, per NFL rules:
(a) A forward pass thrown when the passer is beyond the line of scrimmage.
Note: It is a forward pass from beyond the line of scrimmage if the passer’s entire body and the ball are beyond the line of scrimmage when the ball is released, whether the passer is airborne or touching the ground.
the tippy top of the dot was still touching the LOS when he threw the ball (i paused to check)
therefore by NFL rule it is a legal forward pass.
