Does the AEQ for Fake% also apply to pump fake?
I couldn't find the answer to this anywhere...
If so it might be useful for a scrambler arch QB, with the right set-up.

Also, does anyone have any ideas if its worth it to get CI VA,
and then only get a player to level 78? Its a weird VA in that its parameters
don't seem to give much use to the VA, but I'm wondering if the 30% fake bonus
might not be more impactful than one last level of alg and 6 SP... any ideas?
Is there something I'm missing, or does anyone have an opinion on this?

CIA is age based not level based and really only good at level 73.

Pump fake is included in fake %

Are their any strategies for actually being able to use the clever instincts?

Really only usable in the 240-280 age when promoted to Pro. Not useful before that, and not useful after it so it would need to be reset once they hit plateau.

I have used it on a couple elusive backs or WR's during that 240-280 aged season as we battled older teams in an uncapped league and I saw some benefit. All clever instinct was reset the following season. I don't know that there would be enough of a benefit to a QB that needs so much more to make it useful even during that season.

First of all... It's not a 30% fake bonus; it's a 45% bonus to Head Fake, Juke and Pump Fake specifically.

In theory... If, for whatever reason, you decided to make a dot after the season started and actually keep it... Like for those teams still advertising for rookie dots needed or whatever... Then you'd always be younger than the rest of your age bracket, right up until 280

I don't believe it's worth making a dot like that on purpose, just so you could take it. You shouldn't really be investing in SAs until your 6th season (or later) anyway... the window to use it is just too small.

Pump Fake isn't useful to running QBs at all anyway.

Thanks. I was thinking something like this, that it would only be usable for a tiny window at around 240 age,
maybe it still might work against a small number of players from 280-320 but not enough to be worth it really.

I might use it temporarily like that for that age range but obviously it will need to be reset, and isn't something
that can be a part of long term planning. I still plan to go with fake % AEQ; i thought if there was a trick to using
CI i might be able to go with a different AEQ instead- but obviously that is a pipe dream.

I wonder do you know of any guides for the up to date VAs?
I had a feeling the CI VA had been changed, but I haven't really played for years, and the wiki
still has the old VAs listed.. and I feel like CI is not the only one to have changed

The dot has already been made. I was going by the wiki which stills states (and i was skeptical)
that CI is level based. Starting a dot late was never under consideration. It'd be useless after the
first couple seasons of pro as far as using CI VA anyhow-
no, that was never under consideration.

Juke and head fake are VERY good for a scrambling QB with 102 agility (for that matter, spin as well)
so if one is going to get a Fake% AEQ anyhow, one might as well utilize some pump fake,
either to keep a defense honest (and an honest defense is prey for a good running QB) or to
try and get a big play against a defense selling out for the run. Sure, its a penalized SA, so
the fake% AEQ will basically cancel that out and you're left with a regular 10 pump fake with no fake% bonus,
which still should have some effect. It doesn't even have to be GLB's best pump fake if a defense
is stretched out and receivers are singled covered with no help- in a situation like that, one good
pump fake can lead to a huge explosive play. Using a scrambling QB one has to strategize to succeed;
you can't just overwhelm teams with a single high attribute, but there are ways to get it done if one is
willing to put in the extra time. Whether or not it will be successful in WL is probably more dependent on
the whole team around the QBs than anything, imho.

It won't work past 280. All dots 280 plus are considered same age

Thanks, I see that now.

I am already starting to regret buying more flex-
i was excited to get back into the game, but even trying to find basic answers,
all that is available is old and outdated and wrong. Its frustrating to try to build for the end,
when the game doesn't provide information on exactly what you are working towards, and even
the wiki pages are ridiculously out of date, and often offensively bad. When searching the wiki
just for a list of VAs and SAs, the first thing that came up was a build guide telling ppl to put 1 sp in SA
for every 3 or 4 sp they use, at the start of build! It'd be funny were it not so horrid!

Here's the first time we played Toledo Tsunami (again undefeated this season)
in a tournament match, with out a lot of info to game plan on:
http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/game.pl?game_id=2908917

And here's us 5 DAYS later, same team, same dots as we flip the scoreline,
give them their only loss of the season, propelling us to our Conference title:
http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/game.pl?game_id=2907148

If the cost of "overthinking" GLB is to score 49 points and win
instead of giving up 49 and losing- or even the chance of that-
I'll pay that cost every time and will not apologize for it, either, thank you
